Matchmaking is so bad that I could probably int and it would look normal

I get:

  • teams that tell me to handle everything as support, and then I actually do but no one follows up
  • teams that don't even come close to winning a 5v4
  • teams that literally lie when they call lanes, and then grief
  • teams that do nothing but scream at each other so I have to mute everyone

Enemy team gets:

  • Rioters
  • So much coordination that I've taken a Vayne E right into a Nid spear
  • People who can use mobility spells on the exact frame that my Blitz Q animation begins
  • Arrogant trash-talking jerks who start preening and crowing about their success in /all

For several games in a row. And on the one in three chance I actually win one (yeah, that's my win rate across my accounts), it's not satisfying at all, because I'm simply experiencing the stomp from the other side. I don't feel good about winning, I just feel bad that other people are going through a hell I know all too well.

This is the first season I've really given PvP a try rather than just co-op. Has it always been like this? Does it get better?

I think their stance was that "Players just want to hop into games and not have to wait". This can be translated as "Quantity over Quality" & personally I believe that matchmaking shouldn't be treated that way.

I'd rather wait for matchmaking to give me a game where both teams are evenly matched in terms of skill instead of watching someone in Bronze get dumpstered by someone in High Platinum.

Funny thing is about that last point you made about the enemy team. The ones that are trash talking are the ones that have been feeding and getting carried by their team in an effort to feel better about getting carried.

  1. Win lane and make opponent useless, getting ganked means I get a double
  2. Enemy Cait at the other end of the map turns a tiny lead into literal one-shots with ult
  3. Die 15 times
  4. Lose
  5. Useless opponent says "ez trash"

you could definitely int and you would have a 60% chance that someone else has more deaths than you. wish I was joking lol

Imagine being Ashe ADC and you're absolutely stomping your lane getting kill after kill but top and jungle fed so hard that the enemies in those lanes are three levels higher than you and you literally can't do anything until you surrender.

That was my lane opponent in my last match.

Wow, what a satisfying victory.

Not gonna lie matchmaking the past couple days has been comedically bad almost to the point that I'd say it's bugged in some way. I was silver 1, at some level above 200 and I got paired with not one but TWO level 30 trolls who were unranked. How they got paired with high silver -low gold I will never know, but I agree with you. Riot needs to fix it's matchmaking.

In just this month alone, I've had only like 5 or so ranked matches where people from both team didn't do that.

That tells us nothing lol. How many games DID they do that? How many games did you play total? If you only played 6 games then that's pretty high.

Out of 35 games in June alone, 29 of them I had to screenshot and report. 1 didn't count because it was a remake.

Disable /all chat... I keep meaning to, but I haven’t and get tilted from it all to often.

I used to play only support on soloQ because it's my fav role. I had to learn to play mid/jgl because I was unable to do anything in mid/late game even after I won bot. Also when you play with random adc you can get an amazing player like I got today:

Meet "everything is stupid" Tristana: I took Yuumi, I was sure it's going to be a cool combo. Tristana died very fast (jumping on enemy Draven into enemy minions). Aaaand it started: "useless yuumi", "why you took so stupid champ", "gg we lost". She died again, I'm sure this time she wanted to kill me while I was inside so I stopped to jump into her. She kept jumping in and dying until she had 6 deaths. I decided to go with my fed jungler to help him out. Sadly we lost because they had fed Draven who pushed like a madman and really good team. :/

So I decided to never took Yuumi in soloQ, because I can't do anything with a bad or trolling adc. I am picking more offensive champs or Soraka because of a good silence and ult for team. And it goes better. :)

Veigar doesn't call mid first and so decides to get Smite and hang out in mid with the person who called it. We lose. No IFR even though he literally said in lobby that he would grief and then did so.

Next game, the enemy has two AFKs. We win. It feels marginally less awful than the previous match.

EDIT: Back from grocery shopping three hours later GOT AN IFR! There's a first time for everything!

Normals is just known for being infamously unbalanced and focuses on just putting people in games ASAP. Diamond players can queue with their bronze friend and fight anything in the middle. It's supposed to be the basic "practice your champion" mode.

I see. That's not what I look forward to when I queue up.

This is regular Solo Queue fiesta on a daily basis. Believe me, they don't give a shit.

I get:

  • A bot lane that spends literally the entire match screaming at each other (I muted within a few minutes but others mentioned that it lasted the whole time)
  • First-time Soraka mid starting Seal, rushing Hurricane, and then building the Coin support item; ADC Graves (fed Amumu jg doesn't win games with this matchmaking)
  • Urgot who rushes BotRK (1/10) and Yasuo who rushes Hydra (0/5, 4k champ damage in 27 minutes), claiming it works really well (S- on Blitz doesn't win games with this matchmaking)

Enemy team gets:

  • People who actually want to win

I got decent Honor for pretending I wasn't mad, though. So that's something.

Funny how when I point out something along this line and add in the fact that verbally toxic people are playing like this and don't get punished, you go and take stabs at me.

But then you go and complain yourself just because your teammates aren't doing great?

Ironic.

Come back and complain when you've been blamed for everything by 2-4 of your teammates every game for 2 weeks straight in games like the one you post about here. Come back when not one of said teammates is punished despite such poor play, taking 2v5's and blaming you for not being there... when you're half way across the map and have no tp and just warned them not to engage. When you've had 95% of your games be auto-losses from that kind of play every single game.

Do it while being 2v1 or even 3v1 camped. Do it while putting yourself in a position to carry and outleveling, outfarming, and outfighting your opponents consistently while being given no assistance from your team. Do it consistently for 2 weeks. And avoid even once saying something negative or playing like crap.

Then I give you some empathy. Until you can honestly do that, then don't come here acting like you've got challenges.

Complaining about your teammates to your teammates while you're still in a game with them is different from discussing matchmaking on Boards without calling anyone out. That's not irony.

The screaming bot lane I mentioned above did blame me, calling me a "useless mid" before I muted them. But I did mute them, and the only thing I saw from them from then on was my teammates and the enemy team reacting to the ongoing toxicity with incredulity.

The IFR I mentioned above? I hadn't seen one of those in years, not just weeks. And poor play isn't punishable (if it was I would be long gone); "mid or feed" and then griefing like that Veigar did is punishable.

Do you know when my last punishment was? Never.

I was forced to demote into plat 4 from plat 1 and there was nothing i could do lol And i literally at my last game to demote to plat 4 i got filled i didn't cared a shit and i started to watch tv while playing and i got carried i didn't even deserved to win but there ya go, matchmaking

Buckeye20021 votes

Yeah I feel you, when I que up as Leona, and I get that Ashe that says " I just want to farm".........I'm like..argggggggggg...and I ask, do you know the point of Leona?

I get:

  • People with poor Internet
  • ADCs using years-old builds that even Riot no longer recommends
  • People who would rather lose quickly and go have dinner than try to win
  • Support who laments their own incompetence and then responds to my "don't beat yourself up :)" by blaming me for our loss
  • People who give up before a loss is evident
  • People who don't give up after a loss is evident
  • Jungle Ahri who switches Smite to Heal at the last second and then AFKs (remake)
  • "gg team trash"
  • 0/5 mid with 0/3 jungler
  • score is 17-37 "we got this! teamwork!" votes no on ff while enemy team farms us and spams /laugh until we lose "close game!"
  • A Garen who sees our 15-kill lead and decides to harass his teammates for their performance and then AFK so we lose
  • A team lead of 17 kills that turns into a lead of 10 kills and then we suddenly can't win any teamfights because everyone thinks a lead means they can 1v5 and we lose with an 8 kill lead

Enemy team gets:

  • "damn that win felt good" after they win their 5v4
  • Carried people screaming "EZ BB"
  • People who kill me a whopping two times and then ask if I'm trolling
  • 5/0 mid with 3/0 jungler

Posting after ten straight losses. Not sure if I'll keep trying for FWOTD.

KFCeytron1 votes

Foolishly, I tried again. After 10 losses and 2 remakes, I delegated my champion choice to the random button and started by going 0/8. I lamented my loss streak in /all and the enemy ADC accused me of inting.

...So when our team's CC became too much for them to handle and he reached 8 deaths, I asked if he was inting, too. :) And then we won. :) But then they very quickly left the lobby before I could rub it in their faces. :(

I have no influence over what happens in my matches.
