Hey guys, does playing ranked in preseason give you some sort of edge? I mean will you possibly be placed higher after your season 6 placements? Or does not affect anything at all? Some insight would be great, thank you!
Your MMR is still affected by your Ranked play during the preseason. Since your placement is based off of your MMR, you could get yourself more MMR and be placed better for 2016 than if you hadn't, or worse.
It's just that your 2015 Ranked rewards are already locked in, so that won't change.
No it doesn't do anything, but there's much higher chance of playing with people on tilt or trolling/trying new stuff, so I wouldn't recommend playing ranked for 1 or 2 months till people get a hang of the game.
