Katarina Buff Suggestion

DISCLAIMER: I quit League a few months ago, so I'm probably not the most qualified person to offer any sort of suggestion or anything regarding the game at all

Recently, I was thinking back to when I used to "main" (not truly main; just played a lot of) Katarina . As anyone who's played Kat one or two times knows, she's a simply champion with a pretty basic kit:

Passive: Resets cooldowns Q: Damage-y bouncy blades that mark opponents for a possibility of a bit more damage W: Beyblade spin that gives a puny movespeed boost when hitting champions (and a weird AD ratio..?) E: Jumpy jump R: More Beyblade-y, immobile version of W (even shares the AD ratio)

Everyone always complains memes that Katarina is a face-smashing, noskill champion for easy pentas.

When I still played LoL, I felt Kat's kit was underwhelming; her Q-W combo is supposed to trigger bonus damage and provide some cool movespeed, but it's mediocre at best. In earlygame, the combo deals no damage and provides crappy levels of movespeed; it felt unrewarding, and the risk of getting all-in'd by the enemy laner isn't worth it. During lategame, the movespeed advantage from the Q-W combo is useless.

Why not give Kat's Q and W better synergy with each other? Riot could keep the current W movespeed bonus (if hitting an enemy champion), but double (or simply give a flat/percentage increase) the movespeed gained IF the on-enemy-champion W triggers the bonus damage from consuming the Q mark.

Increasing the movespeed gained from consuming an enemy champion's Q mark with the W would allow Katarina players with options in the laning phase. Also, the bonus movespeed could provide interesting synergy with the Stormraider's Surge keystone mastery OR it could even open up options for item synergies (e.g. Phage) to possibly expand Hybrid or full-AD builds.

tl;dr - In my time playing League, Kat felt underwhelming and easily boring; her Q and W (mainly the movespeed bonus on her W) felt unrewarding earlygame, too risky lategame, and all around useless throughout the entire match. If Kat's W movespeed bonus was increased when consuming her Q mark, it could encourage different builds and playstyles that would make Katarina a more flexible champion with more playstyles.

She's getting a rework in a few months as part of the Assassin rework, and the reds are saying they're looking to make her Q and W much more unique.
