Okay...I am FREAKEN tired of this 5 game 20 minute penalty BS! This crap needs to stop ASAP. My computer decided to restart itself as soon as the game loaded in. I quickly got it back and logged back into the game. I was gone maybe for 3 minutes, but came back into the game and finished the game. But now at the end of the game I get this stupid 5 game 20 minute low priority queue wait time BS. I'm sick of it. I get that there should be penalties for people who go AFK. I get that. But seriously this is ridiculous. Save the 5 game 20 minute wait time penalty for people who purposefully go AFK or are gone the whole game. Not those who have to log back in or have their computer shut off out of their control. If you are going to have penalties then make it 1 game and 10 minute wait time. not this 5 game 20 minute wait time. Especially if it isn't my fault to begin with. Riot needs to fix this ASAP. League is a freaken free game and I get penalized like we are playing for money or something. We need a movement and enough people to complain and get this stupid penalty changed. Not saying it needs to be removed completely, but it needs to change. No reason for me to miss 5 minutes of a game just to get a 1 hour penalty against me.

Yeah it is definitely annoying. Should still be a penalty but should be less time. Have had game crash on me ( not in my control) but still got back in game as soon as I could. Could use a tweak on amount of time....

I agree. I have had the same thing happen to me as well. Game crashed and I had to load back in and it took about 7 minutes to finally get back in. I did complete the game and we actually won! But then I had the same 1 hour penalty garbage put against me. I agree they need to change this. It affects people who actually are trying to play the game.

lol so u got to wait 20 min before each game for 5 games?? doesnt seem to be that big of a deal....

It is also pretty fair when you think about it. It does not occur on being afk just the odd time for a couple of minutes. Nope you need to afk quite a bit.

You have to wait a almost 2 hours, thats alot. But everytime you afk you ruin at least 9 x 20 minutes of gameplay for other players And you need to do this several times before you actually get this penalty 5 x9 x20 i s alot more time of gameplay ruined then you got penalized in waiting time, in fact you ruin 9x more gameplay time for other people

Meanwhile feeding does this too but doesnt seem to be penalized at all. . .

Do you leave games frequently, as in something unexpected comes up a lot and you have to balance life over League?

I understand having to leave because life gets in the way (I do this, too; I think most of us do), but typically leaving games more often than other players puts you under the radar of LeaverBuster.

I stopped leaving games for a bit because I guess I just got lucky and life never got in the way for a couple months, and I got a message that for my good behavior, I've been rewarded for not leaving games and I'm safe. For now. (Okay, not verbatim, but it was something along those lines)

Basically, just try to space out your League games and make sure you're not busy ahead of time before you start the game. Eventually, you'll get out of the radar.
