Is Spellthief's edge bugged?

Or how does the upgrade mechanic on it work now? I've had games where it automatically upgraded, and other games where despite me sitting at 650 gold earned, it still won't upgrade. Am I missing something?

You have to have upgraded the item to at least the second tier. It can't upgrade on the first tier. This is true for all of the support items.

if they didn't freaking change the gold mechanic it would have been fine.. but its completely trash now...

that or i clearly don't understand how it works... well i actaully am positive sure i don't understand how it works... so thats not really an "OR"

but i hate the fact that i can't proc it three times with stuff like Morgana W

it completely ruins the gold income...

1.5 seconds between procs from any single ability, so aoes and dots aren't just instant stacks now.

which absolutely guts the item on certain champs.

i mean not that nidalee has been able to support in over 2 years.. but she relied on traps procing it. Morgana W costs a VERY large amount of mana that i PUPOSELY dont cast it unless i know i can get 2 procs off on it..

if they didnt change how the item "proced" it would be fine... THATS what i have an issue with

Unfortunately if you think not having to press one button to proc one item multiple items is "gutted" then the actual issue has been identified. You'd be surprised to learn that every champion in the game has an auto attack, let alone one of the safest laners in the game like you had mentioned. Morgana

you do know for it's quest upgrade to take effect you have to be out of combat

yeah I know, I'll be sitting at fountain wondering why it's not doing anything when I've clearly accumulated 650 gold as per it's description.

well the quest can't proc in item 3303 and for any noticeable effects you have to proc the stacks it's more of a kiting tool

you need to be out of combat, have frostfang and it should upgrade.

its the passive that gets upgraded.. not the item... you still need to buy the item upgrades you just get a new speed boost passive once your reach 650 and leave combat
