At the beginning, the enemy team has to select just like your team who goes mid, who goes top, etc
sometimes, these roles can be trades. Like: I get top, my pal gets mid. He hates mid, so I pick a mid champion, he picks a top champion, even though our roles say otherwise.
Then the enemy will have our order reversed while inside the game, and they will have to manually adjust them.
This does happen, true.
It also happens quite rarely. I've only seen a swap once in the past 30 games.
Which means, over 90% of the time (the number is random, but its definitely over 50%), sorting the players list from TAB button by the order they selected their roles will be correct.
Nobody is asking to remove the option of manually changing them.
So, having a "flex", or someone switching roles entirely (yes, it can and it might happen) is irrelevant to this entire story as you still retrain manual change option. And this is the part you seem to misunderstand.
TBH, I have games where I sort players, but in the vast majority of them. I just don't give a fuck about the order. Sometimes I like it clean and in order. But most of the time, who the fuck cares, I got to look to all of them anyway if I wana see their builds.
I get where they are coming from, order makes it "easier" to see what CS your lane opponent has, what they chosen to build and so on.
Except I don't mind taking another 3-5 seconds looking for my lane enemy on the tab lines and their build or cs. Whenever i'm doing that, I'm in a safe spot anyway (probably recalling and wondering why I wasn't able to 100-0 them :p)
