Why isn't Bard ADC taken more seriously?

I play Bard ADC from time to time in normals, and every time I always get flamed in the normal team builder chat rooms and than kicked, yet I can honestly say (Mind you I main support) that Bard is my best ADC.

Building him AP makes not much sense because he has such crap scalings, and building tank is okay, but he really has no in-kit advantage to help him be a tank. As an ADC, Bard has great built in peel, heals, foolproof escapes, and kiting abilities, not to mention that magic damage on his auto attacks and AoE slows. Bard has a pretty good laning phase because his mana issues can be easily solved by collecting a few chimes, which also act as free upgrades on his Auto Attacks. With he even becomes able to spam the hell out of his stuns and heals without running out of mana, making him great at locking down targets and killing them late game.

Whats even better is that although Bard isn't a hypercarry late game like Vayne or Jinx, his utility helps his team as a whole, ensuring targets are killed lategame, and providing great kiting and baits to single out targets, all while dealing more damage than a full AP or full tank bard would.

TLDR: Give the Bardman a chance <33
