Is there any reason Mordekaiser's primary role is marksman?

It's simply riot trying to advertise bot lane Mordekaiser even though solo lane is A) More fun B) Pisses off less people C) What people WANT to play.

Besides, a newbie will think Morde is a squishy character that throws maces instead of a fucking Juggernaut >_>

The new Morde is intended to be played in place of the Marksman, bot lane with a support. He is intended to replace Lucian or MF or whoever bot lane.

So he's labeled a Marksman, to show that he's intended to play there.

Well does it look like Morde plays like an adc/marksman? To me it looks more like a mage/fighter

also if you check the description of Marksman in the client it clearly says "ranged".

Right now it looks like Morde doesnt play like anything :D

But still, Riot reworked him to go bot lane so they classify him as "marksman" I guess

Then why in the new champ select there's BOT LANE instead of MARKSMAN? Incoherence at its finest lol

This change was pointed out the day it hit the PBE, why wasn't it in the patch notes, and why hasn't any Rioter stated specifically why?
