Is something wrong with Normal Draft?

Riot has said in the Ideal world they'd see the mode removed but I wasn't aware that it'd been such a problem for them. Why has it been so what's the details of this mode in the background?

No they just want to reduce server cost so they can make more money. Meanwhile dota2 has like 10+ game modes and make less than league.

It has longer queue times since the normal game playerbase is split between draft and blind pick. Basically they want to funnel the draft playerbase into ranked so the queues will be shorter there.

Normal Draft will be retired at the start of preseason for all regions except North America, Europe West, and Brazil. Our goal is to offer the fewest number of queues that give unique experiences (so we can keep queues healthy) while keeping disruption low, and in all regions except NA/EUW/BR, normal draft had very low participation. In an ideal world, we’d like to retire normal draft in all regions.
