An idea on how to end funnel strategies

The funnel strategies are some of the most reviled gameplay things in awhile. I'm ok with the strategy but my husband hates it.

The funnel strategy needs a non-interactive laner to get so far ahead without interacting with the enemy team. Therefore, to eliminate the funnel strategy Riot could do an "anti-funnel" catchup mechanic. Basically, if a champion is 2 levels or higher, give the opposing team catch up exp that is nerfed relative to the damage to enemy champions. For instance, a level 9 Riven who stomps a level 6 garen gives little to no exp because he has done a lot of damage to the Garen. However, the same level 9 Kaisa (my favorite champion) farming both mid and bot dealing with a level 6 Zoe would give a lot more catchup Exp because Kaisa is deliberately avoiding dealing with enemy champions.

This might have a drawback or two in implementation so feel free to go to town on this idea.

Think like X= catchup EXP. Y = Damage to Champions relative to teammates. X=(Fixed Value/Y) *Level Gap Number.

Well from what I can gather from this, this won't actually stop people from funneling gold.

The only thing it'll do, is making snowballing a little bit more difficult.
