Blue Essence is obnoxious to get and way too rng

I don't think its just me, but I find it really tedious to get blue essence if I don't get a decent champion shard like braum or some 6300 shard. You only get a set number of chests per season (correct me if im wrong) and you cant even use three shards to get a permanent champion anymore, it's really frustrating to have to unlock chests and use capsules and have to rely on rng in order to get a decent amount of blue essence. I'm not gonna say I have the answers for a system like this but I am kinda fed up with the rng that is relied on for getting blue essence now. What are your thoughts on this?

there is a set minimum amount of blue shards you can get from the chests you get from lvling up. You can also get up to 4 mastery chests every week with an additional one each week afterwards (assuming you got a chest already) the only thing you cannot do is get two chests from the same champion so if you get an S with Ivern you cannot get another chest with him until the next season. That doesn't stop you from getting a chest with any other champions as long as you still have chests available. There is very little RNG when it comes to blue essence, the issue lies with you wanting to get the absolute maximum value every single time with each chest which will just end up in you feeling that it's not rewarding enough.

If there is anything I would change is that the chests you get from getting S ranks would actually hold more value than those you get from just lvling up since there have been so many times I have opened those and just got a single champion shard which is really lame

"Does it really matter?" is the question to answer that we find in this topic. With Blue Essence being set up this way, does it really matter that it has RNG when it was designed so that the outcome with it was better? Is the quality and reality of the system affected because that word can be applied to it? The answer is that it doesn't matter because it is easier to earn champions with this system which is the goal of this. You can get the BE or you can get more; that's not a problem.

The other problem is expectations. That in this system, which already has better a outcome, you have set the standard for a merely "decent" drop at the maximum value shards. Of course you will only set yourself up for disappointment if you set your standard for what's satisfactory to you at an impossible level.

I don't understand... most champion capsules are set to give around the same value of BE whether it's one 6300 shard or four 1350 shards + BE. I have like 25k blue essence saved up just from playing the game like a normal person and leveling up, and that's after spending another 25k BE buying champions even without shards.
