PSA: When a 4-man botlane gank happens.....

If you are the jungler/midlaner and you know you can't (or don't) make it to botlane by the time the fight is pretty much over FOR THE LOVE OF GOD focus other objectives around the map. Do not just casually farm your own jungle or lane and then blame the botlaners for feeding. We all make mistakes, such as not following your laner from time to time, but take responsibility and create your own opportunities to win the game! :)

Likewise - If you are botlane and see nobody is coming to help - back off your tower and let the enemy team take it. There is no need to try to be a hero. 9.9 times out of 10 you will die (or you both will) and they will take your tower anyway...and then even dragon if they know what they are doing. If you back off and let them have it you give up a little less. Politely (emphasis on politely-do not tilt your teammates) encourage your team to be more aware around the map and take objectives!

As a jungler (though I play just about any role frequently), whenever I am botlane and I see my jungler still farming his own jungle instead of pushing a lane or taking the enemy jungle when a 4+ man gank is happening, a little bit of me dies inside.

Please do not make me die inside :( be a responsible teammate! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] Happy Hunting!

What other objectives?

/s

Yeah, there's only towers in the top side, Rift Herald barely counts unless your top laner can 100% make use of it.

Also, backing off is rarely enough to get away. Flashing isn't either.

It is actually more often than not a mistake to_** follow**_ your laner. If they have left the lane first, they have complete agency over their stroll to bot lane. You as the follower do not, because you don't know where your mid laner went. Very often they could be hiding in the bush just to kill you when you go bot. I agree with most of your post, just thought to disclaim that not following your laner is not always a mistake.

The one advantage that redside has IMO is its much more reasonable for botlane to abandone a tower and live Blue side notmall has jungle / mid rush down tri to that bush behind tower So even when you see them coming and want to immediatly retreat its too dangerous to because you will be intercepted before you reach inner turret (that lee / ahri will catch up)

following lane is not always a good strategy

1: enemy laner can have an advantage in the match up 2: if you don't have vision and they know you don't the enemy laner and jungler can wait for you to take the bait of following laner 3: bot lane is just not worth losing farm and exp advantage (im talking about the bot lanes who are ALREADY losing lane 2v2 or are just flat out building awful.) 4: bot lane NOT following up when you actually do get there. 5: bot lane is intentionally losing the game by ignoring mia pings
