Ranked Matchmaking Woes

Hi all,

Kinda new to posting on the boards but wanted to make a post about this-

Just had another experience (in ranked) where we appeared to get heavily out-elo'd, and the gameplay matched (we lost handily: 15-2 in kills (about) and all outers + most inners gone by 15 min). Figured I would post this not only to alleviate my salt but also to see if anyone out there is still getting rekt in matchmaking FOR RANKED - I play vs previous diamonds very often in normals, regardless of if I queue with my silver/gold friends and despite me being at best plat 5 last season, but generally do not care since its normals. Ranked, however, is where I start to question whether or not I should still be getting a match of, for example:

Me (G5 - was P5) Friend (S5 - Was S2) Other Friend (S2 - Was G5) Riven (S1 - Was G3) Nami (Unranked - Was P4)

vs

TF (Unranked - Was D5) MF (G2 - Was P3) Thresh (G1 - Was P1) Darius (S1 - Was Unranked - record at the time in ranked was 21Wins/10Losses) (smurf maybe?) Zac (S5 - Was S1)

I also linked the game matchmaking from lolnexus if that helps - hope the link works. According to lol nexus, we actually out-MMR their team 1370 to 1388, though I dont know if that stat is accurate to Riots elo system or means anything...This is not the first time matchmaking has been like this - though the start of the season was much, much worse.

What is your opinion? Have you experienced this in ranked yet this season? Should Riot look into a change or potential fix for matchmaking? Let me know in the comments!
