Anivia could use some small changes to make her just a little more viable

I really like Anivia but I feel that there are just some pain points with her that if addressed could make her feel alot better and more viable.

  1. Increase the range that she can cast her ult. It always catches me off guard when I click an area and I'm just two steps away and my whole combo gets messed up bcuz she has to cancel what she is doing and walk over 2 steps to cast the ult. The range doesn't feel right.

  2. Reduce the mana cost of her ult. I know mana is suppose to be a clear weakness for her but even 40 mana per second would go along way or make it similar to Swian's ult so that it ramps up to a point.

  3. Reduce the mana cost of her Q a little.

  4. Make the wall position with more precision. Sometimes I try to block an area in haste and the wall is slightly turned the wrong way. perhaps I'm just bad but would be nice if it kinda snapped into places easier.

  5. Increase the range of her E. Her movement speed is already so low that most people are long gone before you can even hope to target it. Again I'm prolly bad with positioning but I feel this could use some love.

TLDR; I feel other immobile control mages like Velkoz or Azir are more viable and Anivia just needs some small pushes to get on par.

I agree with you, especially about the awkwardness of placing down her Ultimate. It would be cool if her wall could snap into place like you said, maybe at key locations around the map like river bush entries, Dragon and Baron pits, etc.

People constantly asking for buffs to already strong champions make me sad. She already got a huge indirect buff when they buffed Athenes to restoring 30% of max mana on kill or assist. Buffing already strong champions is how you end up with broken champions.

I'd rather up the range of ult but mana cost is fine. Grab blue buff AND tear and you'll be set. Increase MS to 340 and she'd be near OP but yay

I think she'll be in a good spot once RoA and Seraph's get their AP increase next patch. It'll take a while for her to catch on, but she'll have all she needs and be on par with others.

Couldn't agree more, but I feel like if they increased the casting range of her ultimate that that in and of itself would be just enough to make her viable. I agree with Zelardo, whenever I use Anivia, having to walk a few steps extra that I don't think I should have to to cast my ultimate can seriously impact my strategy w/ her.

She does not need range increases; do not have ramping costs; flash frost mana cost has been updated, it is fin now; anivia is slow because of her very high damage and very high utility; frostbite is a point and click, also the range is fine, if you want longer range it has to be a skill shot it is a good range since it goes with her kit and how her kit works; use her wall not on smart cast, you need to aim the spell;

Changes for Anivia; Update her mana cost on her Glacial Storm (R) to modern League of Legends, it is too high, it is still on a mana cost where blue buff gave 2.5% max mana a second, it is now 0.5% max mana a second and a smaller buff duration

Crystallize (W) [ice wall] Make it stop dashes and jumps, etc that attempt to go through the wall to update the spell to modern league [season 1 champions did not have dashes and jumps so they could not go over her wall without flash, ]

Rebirth (Passive) potentially have the cooldown decreased per certain levels like the Aatrox passive change, but she can get a double passive like other reborn passives like Zac and Aatrox, Zac has three passives because blows heal him and lower W cooldown

I agree with the first thing, but all I really feel she needs beyond that is the ability to turn off her wall after she sets it up. It's the only wall in the game that you can set up from a distance and that can block off entire paths, but this can very easily backfire, much like a poorly-aimed Bard ult. Trust me though, while giving her a lot of buffs may seem like a good idea, you'd be surprised how much a couple of small ones can really do for a champion who's already in a fairly good spot.

I'd rather see a rework before any balance changes to Anivia, considering how terrifying her damage is and that she can cheese kill you at level 3.

Anivia is very viable as she is. She is top tier and borderline God tier. She needs mana gating to keep her skill floor high and so her ridiculous strengths aren't too easy to abuse.

Don't buff Anivia whatever you do.

1, Some QoL changes to her ult would be good, but I'm not sure about this one. 2, Swain have natural mana sustain from his passive, but Anivia can only something like that from item 3174 4, You can be precise enough with the wall positioning. The LoL netcode is what rather sucks. 3; 5. Nope

How about we give her an ability that one shots all enemy champs globally upon use every 120 seconds along with these buffs? That seems like what you really want.

They need to make the wall change u proposed, and make it so her ult doesnt interrupt movement commands. It's so annoying that she pauses for a brief moment whenever she casts her ult.
