Q-Dodge in Champion Select

Ok so tell me here. This doesn't even sound reasonable.....

  • Not choosing a champion to ban results in a Queue-Dodge
  • Not locking in, but having a champion selected, results in a Queue-Dodge

Is there anything else that results in a Queue Dodge? Because I think unless you legit queue dodge, neither of those should even count as a queue dodge. I see people locking in a no-champ-ban, how do they even do that when I can't even find the button to do that? Either way, this queue-dodge thing is very stupid and does not make sense

Not choosing a champion to ban results in a Queue-Dodge

I can see why this would. There are over 100 champions. If you want to waste a ban simply ban one of the super obscure or horrendously weak ones for the current meta. That way you essentially just "wasted a ban". I think their reasoning behind this was so that players did not afk in champ select like many use to. This would resulted in many unintended queue-dodges, players having the wrong runes, etc... simply because the pick/ban phase was so long with so little user interaction. Players got bored and went afk and missed important parts to the pregame constantly. By adding in required interactions, they now keep the player active and these mistakes happen far less often.

Not locking in, but having a champion selected, results in a Queue-Dodge

This on the other hand, I think they just did an all inclusive kinda thing with the queue-dodge mechanics. I agree, selecting but not locking in should not count as a dodge.

The only argument I could make for that is that sometimes the client dies, so by having these checks, it prevents someone who's client just died from being forced into a game with possibly the wrong runes/summoners on the champion you were highlighting.

I agree though that it's frustrating. I've had multiple "dodges" because my ban/lock in button won't let me click it for some reason despite me having highlight my choice.

Don't forget to mention how much lp you lose for dodging twicein ranked. The system needs to be revised to be a bit more forgiving...

Really. Why do they feel the need to take 10 Lp opposed to 3Lp for a second penalty.
