Can someone explain to me why low diamond is the worst ELO to play at? For a division that is around the top 1% of all players, why are there so many trolls, AFK'ers, and people who don't know how to play their role?
I just want to start a discussion on the state of low diamond and why it doesn't feel like a high ELO area. The games almost always snowball one way or another, and very rarely become good close games.

Probably because once they make it to Diamond, they quit caring/trying. That's my guess, at least. I'm certainly not an expert on high ELO.

Every division V is the worst elo to play at, and you're at 0 LP which matches you with the worst people.
Elo hell is the very top of the Division I prior and Divison V at every elo (I.e. PlatI-DiamondV, GoldI-PlatV)... This is because of LP clamps (which is why the game feels so grindy if you don't get to your real ELO from placements) and it makes people feel like they're stuck and makes people rage alot. Thats why you always see so many bitchy people in promos and 0 LP Divison V

I spent over a month in D5, and I agree with you completely. The players are worse than in Plat, probably because they don't care anymore.
Yeah there's really nothing I can do in Diamond 5. I just had a mordekaiser that followed my mid lane around and didn't go top, and just said he was following our talon. How is this Diamond? How is he not banned?
