I'm Diamond MMR. I go 7-3 in placements and I place Plat 1. I win 2 games before this new "roll out" and I get 27 LP per win.

So Riot then says "they have a fix" and implements one more placement game and I placed Gold 2? How? What? Keep in mind, everyone in my game was diamond, and they all placed Plat 1/2.

That really doesn't make any sense because I will be playing with golds which is what they intend not to happen.

I had diamond friends place p2 and now p1, which make sense. I straight up placed P1 which makes sense, because I shouldn't have to grind up from gold.

Because of the MMR mismatch in Flex Queue, you got reset to the original starting point (pre placements). But remember this is only Preseason, the rank you accomplish now WILL BE RESET AGAIN! The rank you get in preseason does only influnece the placement in Season 7 to a SMALL extend! (only your starting point in season 7 is affected by Preseason ranks) Sidenote: 1-2 Tier drops are completely normal in preseason.

I.E.: You were Plat 5 at the end of the season, were placed high Silver after placements, now got placed low Silver. If you now climb to Plat again, you will then only be placed in low Gold at the start of Season 7!

So dont worry to much about the current placement!

Pretty sure they just destroyed my flex MMR with this "fix" which would ruin my starting point when season 7 starts. They really should reset again, because I think this "fix" is bogus.

Gold 2 was your starting point, but your placements (remember they were heavily inbalanced) placed you at plat 1. Im not saying that you dont deserve that, but unbalanced games canot be counted in a ranked enviroment! So the easiest solution was a reset to your starting point! Or you would have need to play all 10 placement games AGAIN! So they decided to not to that.

I know its sucks! Alot!! but atleast now the games should be way better balanced! And preseason only affects your starting point, but the placements in Season 7 are far more important!
