Cho's Ult is an example of poor game design.
I don't care if Cho is "an older champion in line of a rework" or not... Being able to only build tank items and still do over 1000 true damage INSTANTLY with no skillshot required, is absolutely stupid.

Unlike other forms of true damage, Cho'gath's actually makes sense. He's a giant monster taking a bite out of you. It's going to hurt.
I don't know, most champs in the game have justifiable 1 shot kills (at least in their appearance)... Take caitlyn and her giant rifle, Any of those shots should 1-2 shot kill most humans, and be able to shoot from across the lane, not just from up close. But realism has to be sacrificed for balance.
My point is that Cho's R is just a way to make it so that his winrate isn't 30% or something horrible... it's almost like a crutch.
This is a QQ thread of swords, since I had a game in 3v3 where the enemy cho ONLY built defensive items, and just tanked through my MF even though I had both lethality ietms, black cleaver + lord dominik. He'd walk through my damage (full round of skills and multiple autos kiting him). Then he'd just flash in and insta kill. His teammates were also feeding that game, yet he was still able to just push through our damage, and take one of us out, then we'd have to retreat or lose a 2v3.
I don't mind if a champion is strong, but there should be counterplay. If someone builds full tank, then they should be able to hold off damage for their teammates to deal damage.. not tank damage AND insta kill someone a skill that no assassin has. The fact that his team was so far down, but he could singlehandedly hold the match
I mean, there's a reason why Cho was so widely picked in Worlds 2017. Cho's current winrate in 5v5 is >49% , it's not great, but that doesn't mean that his kit is designed in a healthy way. (In 3v3 his winrate is <52% -- implying that he is currently balanced around having a team of people take him down, and if you try to fight him with too few people, he'll just kill you).
The rework team has been doing a good job so far, so hopefully they find a way to make his ult healthy, but also more fun. Even playing Cho, pressing R to do "tons of damage" isn't satisfying or engaging ... I mean, it's fun killing people, but not in a meaningful "I just outplayed them" kind of way.
Yes it is. Because he’s an old champion.
