So why do People Not Like Support?

I don't really know what other people have against the support role. Many people when I'm in ranked curse autofill and the support role. I find it rather fun because they can control the flow of the game with map vision, and proper support of ADC.

If the turrets are pushed, I ward the heaviest trafficked area (most people, most pushes) their jungle with a control ward on their buff, and 3 wards in various bushes same side. A huge help! If my side is pushed, I ward our jungle with same formula of item 2055 on buff, and 3 item 3649 wards on respective bushes.

Its a frantic game of constantly keeping wards up, replacing destroyed Control Wards, and counter-warding the enemy support item 3364

Opinions are of course varied on the situation: Boredom, not the damage, can't dish out lots of damage like top or mid etc.

-------------------------------Why do people NOT like the support role when its one of the most important roles in the game?-------------------------------

People find it satisfying to chunk out people and get big multikills with the announcer glorifying it all. Supports don't normally have either happen. I'm a support main though, so hard to be too critical of the role.

I find it very satisfying to deny kills and turn around dives, plus when I'm playing something other than support I usually find myself living in fear a lot since I don't have a sightstone to provide my own vision. The adc (or mid or whoever got the kills) usually gets the praise in those turn around situations though, so support players generally need to be content with their own knowledge they did well, rather than expecting praise from their teammates. (That said, I've been playing in low diamond elo recently and actually have been getting fairly consistent praise for my janna play, so supports do seem to be appreciated more in higher elo.)

The support also has to rely on everyone else doing good around them. It is a position that is VERY difficult to carry from. (Mid and ADC are probably easiest.)

I dunno, I like support as a 'carry' role, it just is done in a different manner than most other roles.

Essentially if you're a god tier support, then you'll be consistently getting the adc out of trouble (even if getting into trouble was their fault), and spoonfeeding kills to them, resulting in you being able to have a strong impact in getting 2 out of 5 members of the team fed (yourself via assists, and the adc via your actions) and keeping 2 members of the enemy team shut down. Meanwhile gods in most other roles can get themselves fed, but that's still only 1 member out of the 5, although jungle might have an argument for roaming about getting everyone fed.

Even is the adc is a lost cause, a supports kit by it's very nature is useful even when behind on gold/xp, so even if laning phase is a disaster, you can come out of it and still be useful in trying to support whoever the best player on the team is in the hopes they can 2v5 with you. Every other role, if you're camped by the enemy jg or something, then you can be stuck being useless until you can scrape together enough farm to pull back into relevancy.

You're right, but if you're a god tier anything you'll most likely carry games. http://imgur.com/gallery/aSVjtu7

not me i always give praise to the support when they play just as well as me.. ex clutch blitzhook from someone trying to dive a adc pulls them away from them

or janna giving clutch tornados to disengage people off her adc

support is a crucial role in this game just as important as any other role the plays u make may go unnoticed to the people who arent that great at the game

but the ones who do know how to play we see ya support mains keep doing ur thing

also isnt support the best role to climb with

You will find a LOT of BS answers... but the simple truth is; It's because you have the lowest chance of netting a win based on personal skill through that role.

Me personally i rush sightstone when i can because i find it one of the most useful tools in the support's kit

As a sup main, I can only assume that it's because there is no "legendary" for assists, saves, and wards placed....

" Triple Ward" "Pentassist!" "You just saved your ADC's ass!"

I don't mind supporting, but it's the least fun role to me
