cho'gath rework?

I love cho Chogath as a champion but i have noticed that he is pretty lack luster lately and doesn't seem as intimidating as he should be. This in mind i have a few ideas that they could change for him. ( be warned that this is just a possibility for his rework and any criticism is very much appreciated) That being said, lets begin.

The only thing that could make a good start for his rework would be to adjust his ulti.

I've been thinking of this for a little bit and maybe for his early game he would look weak and have a different form with different minor abilities. As the game would continue and he gets his stacks he would obviously get bigger and more health but at 3 stacks he would transform to a terrifying creature.

A nice touch would be for him to sound cute when he's small and then grow into something to be feared >:D

Also a quick fix for him until the rework would be to add scaling tenacity per feast stack. (or some extra for being at max stacks and call it "perfection" or something)

again any critisism/help is wanted

The dude has a basic attack that goes through people, a ground-pound that can be used like a snipe AND stuns, and a silence that slows. He really does not need any kind of power boost right now.

He cannot compete at the current level of mobility, hence his abhorent win rate on pretty much every stat tracking website.

Well, he does need a rework…That's for certain… And I think hitting his ult is a good idea. But change it entirely. He's almost impossible to kill late-game, between his sheer massive health (even IF you manage to kill him, it's back up in time for the next team fight), his decent damage, his AoE silence, and his virtually undodgeable knockup (due to his silence and the fact that you usually end up having to run TOWARDS him to avoid Rupture). Reworking his ult somewhat would be amazing. Take about half of the bonus health he gets from his ult being fully stacked, and move it into his levels, OR into a passive for his ult. Make his ult restore health or something, instead of increasing max health. Or add…anything. His ult's the main offender, although his silence isn't far behind.

Basically, I'm advocating a small rework coupled with a minor nerf to SOMETHING. He might be a bit lackluster compared to some, and no good against anyone that has high enough base speed to clear the entire radius of Rupture when slowed (I'm sure SOMEBODY fits that description. Maybe), but he's just too much of a royal pain in the ass. He's like Tankmo, but with higher damage.

He doesn't need a nerf. He needs a rework. All he does is win low elo games where people aren't competent enough to dodge very easy-to-dodge skill shots. Once you start getting up to gold+, he struggles to counter even his intended counters (Yasuo, Riven, AD/AP casters).

I beg to differ with that "easy to dodge" part. You can't do much against his roar, and if you're silenced, it's hard to get out of an AoE effect that pops before you can walk out of it most of the time.

His silence is very easy to dodge if you are in his face. Every single cone effect has a smaller width the closer you are to the champion who is casting it. Not to mention if you are at the range in which his silence is harder to dodge, you are usually close enough to the end of the cast range to just walk out before the animation goes off. It has a very long cast time for an ability. Look at Cho's win rate on lolalytics.com. Clearly there is something wrong with his performance.

as a once cho gath main, hes weak as hell right now, and its all because of his losing stacks mechanic. any good player knows to just catch him out and shut him down early and he'll never catch up to help the team

Sure. At high ELO, when the jungler thinks of doing that. But you may have not played a losing game against a Cho'gath. The enemy team can hold you in base, and then Cho can just munch on a few raptors to be back to full stacks. And that's assuming he even dies in the first place. I've had difficulty doing that with champions that are SUPPOSED to shred tanks - partly because I've had 2/3 of my health taken out with a single rupture.
