With all the discussion about Jax I've seen recently, I'd like to chip in a bit
All information is pulled from OP.GG and from my observations (Which, admittedly, probably aren't that good)
Jax:
Champs he has a Positive winrate over: 36
Champs he has a Negative winrate over: 17
Champs he has a of Winrate above 52%: 20
Champs he has a of Winrate below 48%: 7
Highest winrate is vs Ryze at: 59.34%
Lowest winrate is vs Malzahar at 44.4%
if you look at these stats, it appears that he is very strong in the right hands, which he is, but if you look at his overall stats he has a:
10.22% pickrate and 49.44% winrate
so, let's look at his strengths (Most of this comes off of observations and my own knowledge of this champ)
>Strong dueling >Decent wave manipulation >Low skill floor >Healthy trades >Scales well >Can get tanky with little cost to his damage >Split AP and AD damage >Can dodge AAs
and his weakness >Get's hard countered by a fair amount of champions >Only Mobility requires a target >Can be blown up in teamfights >Reliant on AAs >Melee >If he jumps in he has no other escapes and a decent cool down UNTIL he gets cdr and levels into leap
What is Jax's main problem IMO? He is linear, all of it is point and click (Except e stun, but regardless) he needs a VGU, maybe Ezreal tier, maybe a little bigger. Some things I would look for is:
>Leap can jump to anywhere in vision(That way you still have to ward over walls), cool down maybe 15/14/13/12/11
>Directional E, one that you can move around but only blocks autos from that angle, that way he can still be an exellent duelist but can't block 2+ enemies from attacking him from different angles. think 9% coverage on one side
Of course I am not a game designer, and this would need tweaks if it were to be implemented, but that's not my job.
is absolute trash with a 30.5% winrate if i narrow it down to games less than 25 min in russian silver aram games
