Relic would be terrible on Gnar. I know you dont play bot lane but relic is garbage on ranged champions. Gnar would have been better off just starting a regular starting item instead since none of them are for him.

Its only useless if you cant last hit

No it's terrible even if you can. Even most thresh take ancient coin now because they greatly reduced the healing procing it gives for ranged champions. Relic is fine on yasuo but it would be garbage on gnar.
