What if Irelia's w gave marks instead

It always felt weird to me that her e gave stacks for dash resets. It seemed like it made sense to me if her w did it. She has to decide if it's more important to save it just in case something happens or use it to close the distance and stick to opponents. It seems like putting it on her e means that from a distance she can go all in and have her w in case she gets in trouble.

If she had to use w to engage, she would have her stun ready during a fight instead of w. It seems like having to land a stun and choosing when to use it in a fight is more interesting than pressing w when cc or damage hits, especially since it gives an enemy a chance to outplay. I guess it would mean that engaging on her while w is up means that she can much easier 2v1 opponents, as she can negate the damage, then mark multiple melee champs start a fight with it.
