has a strangle hold on due to its spell vamp and how his current kit works. He completely ruins spell vamp on an item for every other mage due to how damn good it is on him and him alone.
They remove all sustain from mages because if they have any sustain it is far too easy for them to abuse Zed's extreme energy problems
