any tips on ward jumping?

I recently started playing jax, and I know about the quick-casting ward and q'ing, but I can't instantly q after I put the ward down. If i quickcast ward and press q right away on the same spot, the q doesn't go off. I have to wait a second before I can jump. I've seen a lot of people on youtube doing this instantly on Jax, but I can't seem to do it. Help

Weird. That shouldn't be happening. If you quick cast a ward then quick cast Q to that spot, Jax should immediately jump.

Please make sure your "Quick Cast with Indicator" setting is unchecked, and make sure your Q is on quick cast.
