My 8.24 thoughts as a gold 5 pleb (well gold 4 now) jax scum main

I'm not sure if I can main Jax top this season and climb. In ranked, I'm generally fighting Garen/darius/teemo/jayce mains, and they all can dick jax early. I always was able to make it by because of his hypercarry nature late game. However, with indirect nerfs to do preseason changes, and now direct nerfs, I'm not sure he'll be viable top. I've stated this before, I think his early game should have been nerfed, as he is a hypercarry; he should be a terror late. Maybe I can play him as a pocket jungle pick; I'll have to reevaluate him when the season rolls around. For now, planning on pushing with kayn jungle because he's so strong.

Rito needs to stop nerfing akali just because they don't wanna remove her invisibility under tower. Between her nerfs and DH nerfs, she'll be unplayable. Remove invisibility under tower and put power back in her kit.

After looking at galio changes, i like them. A LOT. Always liked galio but he always felt too team based to actually push with. Theses changes make him much more of a brawler/tank. I think that will be great for solo/duo ranked.

As someone who played a lot of Irelia, nerfs are 100% necessary. That is all.

Overall, I think this was the "appease the fans" patch. Some of it was really good; some of it meh. Hopefully, we will continue to see damage go down, as that is the real issue League has right now IMO.

I'm really interested to see what the meta is going to shape into the next few two weeks. Dark Harvest being ridiculous has caused a false meta since preseason dropped, and I believe we are now going to see the first real indication of what the season 9 meta will be. While whatever crit changes come through will definitely cause an impact, I'm just interested to see what's going to stand out as strong. My guess is that mages will be strongest season 9, as they've been hit the least over the last year.
What are y'alls' thoughts on this patch?
: no longer will Q cost a fifth of my max mana mid game, all I had to do was sacrifice my tornado’s flat AP ratio, and I even gained some base damage in return! Happy days!
