Is Randuins Now a Required Tank Item

It seems anymore that Randuins is a must-have item for any tank. It is the only item that negates crit, which currently is way over the top strong. I was just in a game playing Leona. With my w steroid (putting me ~250 armor) the enemy Jinx melted me in about 4 seconds. Her only damage item was IE, the other was static shiv. She in the middle of building the other AS+crit item. Not sure how that kind of damage gets pumped out with 1 pure damage item vs a 250 armor tank.

It might just be me, but crit seems way too strong, this me asking if Randuins is now a must-have.

My thoughts on fixing crit: Instead of fixing crit and changing it, Riot could perhaps change armor to actually negate some crit. In essence, bake the randuins passive into armor. he more armor you have, the more crit you negate. It could be something like 10% crit dmg reduction per 75 or 100 armor or something. That gives tanks the incentive to go tanky and let the ADC's stay effective.

I am not sure if this was ever considered, or would even work, but is just a thought.

Randuins is 10% off of crits; it's not doing much heavy lifting to keep you alive.

It's real strength comes from the AS slow, which is a far better thing to mitigate than crit damage due to how it scales.

Its not that Randuin's is really good, its just better than things like Sunfire Cape
