The problem with Lucian Top.

I have seen this issue on the rise with no one speaking out against it, and I am genuinely not the type similar to most players claiming a champ is "op", uncounterable, or unbeatable etc. etc.

Lucian top has seen a dramatic increase since the beginning of the new year with no changes to his kit, and that's acceptable. People have found something that works, and they're abusing it, but it is not similar to other top marksman. Unlike Caitlyn, Vayne, Tristana, and almost every other ADC in the game, Lucian is notorious for having both an amazing early and late-game, with extreme mobility level two up.

His kit makes him virtually impossible to lane against with any bruiser/fighter (such as Riven, [he extremely outdamages her until 6] Illaoi [low mobility; relies almost solely on her e landing which is near impossible to a decent Lucian], Darius [he is on the upper end of the spectrum, he does have the lockdown necessary to hold a Lucian down, but a good Lucian player can easily counterplay this by abusing their range and mobility to kite Darius], etc.)

The only exceptions that come to mind are champions like Teemo, Yasuo, and Jayce. Champions known to be massive lane bullies, bearing massive early damage, and have kits made entirely to destroy an ADC late-game. The issue with picks like these is they deprive the team of a tanky top lane, as their kits rely on damage. The same can be said about Lucian, with the difference being his kit is made with the sole purpose of not being touched by the enemy team. His mobility allows him to be in the front of the fight (with items like Black Cleaver of course) without taking a substantial amount of damage.

Forcing enemy teams to pick champions that distinctly pull from the composition of the team while only adding to yours is a very strategic move, but it is an unbalanced one. No champion should be able to dominate a lane so well early, while over performing in the endgame. It just does not make sense.

Granted, this is all opinion based (besides the statistics which all can be found with a simple google search), and I might be 100% incorrect, but in 4 accounts over 3 separate MMR's, i have seen a Lucian Top 9 times in about 20 games in the past 48 hours, every game destroying my top laner, one of which has been myself, driving myself to the point of writing this prompt.

Riot, please look into this.
