Why is Riot so greedy? league has turned into a p2w

Riot buffs/nerfs champions --> players invest in the buffed champions
2-week patch cycles --> 2 week payouts

Riot is deciding who is the strongest top 10 champions in the meta on purpose so that you constanly have to invest in those OP champions so that you wont lose in ranked

getting tired of this secret conspiracy motivated by greed

why is Riot so obsessed with balancing? for you? nah, to make money, if they buff a champion/make it OP, YOU the consumer is going to buy the champ, if Riot does not 2-week balance change, then Riot doesent make money

champions are 975RP or 6300 IP, rune pages are 560RP/ 6300IP, tell me that's not p2w? it takes forever to get 6300, xp/IP boosts, p2w too

Except you can buy the champions without spending real money? Most of the "OP" champs right now are relatively cheap to buy with IP.

XinZhao - 1350 IP Graves - 4800 IP Garen - 450 IP (or free) Mordekaiser - 3150 IP Skarner - 4800 IP Darius - 4800 IP

Not a single 6300 in the lot.

Can you explain how this actually makes League p2w? There's nothing forcing you to buy champions with RP, and I'm not the only one that has bought every champion using only IP (except Lulu and Hecarim release bundles, cuz I wanted both of their skins =P).

no, if you play 10hr/day you can win atleast 7 times, totalling ~1K-1.5k IP, you would need almost FIVE DAYS to reach that, are you telling me you dont want cheaper stuff? LOL

It's not pay-to-win because while you CAN use real money to unlock champions, it doesn't do a thing to increase your chances of winning. OP champs or not, if you don't know how to play the game money isn't going to get you anywhere.

Your answer contradicts your reasons, since new players don't track winrates at all, much less what's OP that patch. Most new players can't tell you if a champion should build AP or AD.

Well, they have to make money somehow. Regardless, it's pay to accelerate, not pay to win. You can either slowly grind your way to having everything, or you can pay and get it faster.

As for your point for how you need to buy op champs, it's really really wrong. New players and people at low elo can't use OP champs properly. You can literally win with anything.

Hell, even at higher ELO's (Plat+ specifically), a good chunk of the champions in the game have over 50% winrates when played to their fullest extent. If you're dedicated enough you can win with whatever you really want to play to be honest.

I'd say I'm pretty educated. Also, I'd say that ALL champions are essentially free since you can buy them with IP.. so the only thing you're investing is TIME.. so again, I don't understand why you are saying League is P2W.

They need to climb like everyone else... because they need the EXPERIENCE.

Would you prefer to have someone fast track to 30, hop into a ranked game and pick what's "OP" and then proceed to lose you 20LP because they're inexperienced?

This is just my .02, though. I'm sure there are a lot of players who do well fresh out the gate. I prefer to take the learning experience route.

IMO Prices are fine and the grind is more than doable. AND TOTALLY FREE!

If anything is pay to win, it's because Dynamic Queue. However, owning champions isn't that big of a deal, especially with bans. This season is just seriously shit on the balance.
