is this supposed to be an event?

it looked like they were making kind of a big deal out of this harrowing thing, with that cinematic and all. but where is the event in-game? we get to play with two extra people in twisted treeline and a couple new skins.. is that it? is this what that amazing cinematic was for? by now I thought they would have taken the time to decorate the maps or make a holiday themed mode. instead of any of this we get hexakill on a small cluttered map. I know how I might sound, but they've made a big deal over nothing much. An event that isn't very eventful. I would've loved to see summoner's rift have a creepy atmosphere like it once did in october. I have this feeling about every time some holiday event starts up. I cannot be the only one who feels this way?
