New ranked season quesstion

Hey, this (season 6) will be my second season playing ranked. Last seasons I was silver 4... (dont laugh <3 )

What happens to my rank/mmr on start of new season? Is it fresh 10 prvisionals? does my MMR from last seasons affect? How heavily? Am i likely to be placed at the exact same rank and just be mad that im still stuck in silver? :P

Any explainations would be appreciated.

Soft reset your MMR last season has some effect on where you will be placed after your 10 Provisionals. From my experience over 3 seasons I have never been placed more than 4 divisions from where I was, winning between 4-6 games out of 10.
