AFK issue 4 times in 2 days

Had 4 games in 2 days ruined by an AFK from level 1 never showing up in game so 4v5 from start.

When are you guys going to implement something to fix this? I cant even manage a 50% win rate because of this. Cant climb ladder even if i was good; its THAT often.

Can we get some sort of loss-prevention type system, like maybe only lose 5-10LP instead of full amount, and double punish the AFKer? p

Pretty please? This is ruining my game experience BIG time. I know you have 30million customers and don care about me. But please.

LeaveBuster will get 'im.

There is a buffer of goodwill in the case of real life emergencies. But that gets used up pretty quick if they do it too often.

As for afk's being responsible for your less than 50% win rate? That is very unlikely.

Assuming you never afk or leave, then that means there are only 4 other players on your team that you have no control over on whether or not they afk or leave. Guess what? There are 5 of those uncontrollable elements on the enemy team. Long term the number of times you win matches because the enemy was down a player will even things out.

it gets even worse when you're on the opposite end and are unable to connect to the game. You create an unintentional and unpreventable toxic experience for your team. AT&T has my hatred for them metaphorically burned into my existence and the only thing that can be done in game is one of 4 choices: A, you never connect to the game at all, B, you do connect but all you can do is move whenever possible and inform the other players that the server is not letting you connect while you fear leaverbuster, or C, end up unintentionally feeding by teammates holding you hostage in game by fear of being reported or threatened with reports because you can issue no commands to the server and finally, D: pray that you reconnect, maintain a stressfully calm demeanor and attempt to help your team when you do reconnect even though the damage is likely to have already been done

just earlier today I tried ARAM...my ping maintained a constant 2000 when it even connected...all I could do was pray I would reconnect and stay out of the fight...I normally have a ping of 100, but there is no consistency in my area for internet quality unless I play after midnight and even then it's not guaranteed

if you want a simple explanation, when you live in the middle of nowhere, gaming is all you've got and even if there are lines only a mile from your house, you can't get a new connection without paying $5000 for AT&T to install a new line to your area
