Chogath is way to strong

so when can we get a chogath nerf? plenty of reasons why

His Q is is a 1 second knockup on a 9 second cooldown this makes malphite ult look like a joke and it does twice teh damage with 100% AP ratio with a base of 305 damage.

His W is a AOE cone silence on a 13 second cooldown again a huge cone of silence that lasts 2.5 seconds this is basically another stun and it does 275 damage base with 70% AP ratio there is no real way to counter this other then not fighting him.

His E is just as bad as its a aoe wave clear that benefits from 30% of his AP. making him even better at clearing waves and killing champs as at max rank it does 80% 30%AP Ratio , it does far to much as it also adds onto his base damage making his damage out scale most carrys.

His R is the healthiest part of his kit and thats saying a lot seeing as it is the most balanced part of it all. at max stacks and rank it gives him a bonus 900 HP which in value of items is 2 giants belts and about 2000 gold.. this makes him more gold effective then most other skills as it gives him a lot of other bonus such as attack range and the 650 damage execute with 70% ap ratio

And his passive heals him 71 health and 8 mana per creep or unit .. so u cant push him out. these are all at max ranks but even at rank 1 a single creep heals for 20. thats 1/8 of a potion and if he just uses his skills to AoE a wave he can heal at level 1 for 120. making it nearly impossible to shove him out of lane even at level 1 and it only gets harder.

So all and all a lane bully with AOE CC AOE silence AOE clear Tanky as hell due to his ult. and this is all without items. He is a problem i wish you could could take a look at these champions and actually notice with the changes with items masterys and meta swings that he is just way to powerful. he becomes the tankiest monster in the world and his AP ratios are higher then most other champs

Kite him and he's absolutely useless. Kill the rest of the team while he stomps around like Godzilla with no Tokyo's in sight.

He's very weak against % damage champs due to his natural high HP. All he has in a fight is his Q and W, if he misses those then he doesn't do much else. He's also quite slow and easy to hit/kite.

"AOE silence"

Malzahar 300 base 80% AP ratio 3 second AoE silence (seriously though Malzahar is pretty rad and you should play him)

Seriously though, Cho'Gath is fine given that he's pretty immobile, fantastic champion otherwise, really strong thematically too

Q also has a REALLY wonky hitbox, so it definitely isn't better than a malphite ult (thats not to say Q isn't strong, but I rarely get more than 2 people with it, if that; meanwhile I can consistently get 3+ people with malphite's ult; its also got a somewhat long delay, requiring some prediction)

His Q is easy to anticipate, if you stand static you can expect to get popped - it's all about positioning to counter his kit. Top laning against him as Garen everything Garen can do, Cho can do better so it's an awful lane - wait for him to waste his mana and then engage him so he has to pick and choose his abilities.

A Cho'gath nerf? Welp, that's a new complaint.

Its funny how as this is posted people start picking him up everywhere and hes a monster to be reckoned with .hah

you do know you can dodge his stuff? his q telegraphs where it is and its actually a bit difficult to land his w silence lasts for like .5 seconds garens silence lasts longer and as for his e its easy to outdamage if hes just meleeing you hes very focused on burst damage and predicting if you miss your q you gotta wait like 9 seconds he gets no cd on his abilitys except maybe his ult which is closer to a free warmongs at 6 stacks his scaleing is a bit high but unless your not paying attention or gasp actually get outplayed i know relish the thought itll never happen but say it does its easy to avoid everything but his ult good counters are any ranged or champs with cc like quinn or riven or darius or renekton with gp if its the cc makein you mad and if your fighting a mid chogath lux morgana brand vel he gets countered pretty easy by mid laners

yeah, considering chogath is one of the squishiest tanks and his Q range seems to be random. it's supposed to be 900 but sometimes feels like 600 instead

his weakness is sustained damage and opposing tanky characters, something odd for other tanks. for instance, an amumu can just use his W and slowly peel down a maokai without his abitiies, meanwhile, chogath helps maokai heal and is very vulnerable to his crowd control and sustained damage potential

carries such as Cairlynn can run around at his maximum range and just hit him as they please

master yi totally shreds him because his kit, although doing a lot of damage, isn't really made to fight against those who are in your face. W has to hit them, ult is melee range, but so many champs can outdo his strengths that it's not really necessary to nerf him

He's a mixed priority target, something people hate because they want to focus other targets

riven is a good example. She excels at dueling but is also good in team fights, but when focused, drops dead and when facing a better duelist, gets behind

galio has even more tankiness than chogath and a decent amount of damage in area of effects. his high magic resist even counters chogath while he pokes him down

i'm trying to think of a few more examples, but it's really not that hard to poke or auto chogath down, especially when he builds mage instead of tank. if he goes pure tank, his damage suffers and if he goes mix, he doesn't excel at either

oh, gnar's a decent example. his Q does 115% of his AD, has long range, and easily procs his mega gnar form, one of the tankiest things there is. he gains percent hp based damage, attack speed, and two sources of crowd control, all while having an instant reset cooldown on his Q at max level

"too" and no he isn't. Your failure to grasp the language probably translates to your failure to grasp game mechanics.

I can't believe people are honestly trying to say that he's not overpowered. Max W, become unbeatable in lane and scale extremely well.

  1. He has very slow MS early game, along with high mana costs. 2. His Q is easy to dodge. 3. Stay out of his W range and you will be fine. 4. His ult does less base damage to champions than to monsters. 5. He is more squishy of a tank than most. 6. Build MR and some armor pen, that will help you counter him. 7. He is not that OP, stop exaggerating and learn to counter him.
