More Hybrid Champions?

I feel like there are not enough champions that could/do make use of the Hextech Gunblade/Guinsoo's Rageblade. Besides Akali, who is the only champion that uses Gunblade as a core item, the champions that could really benefit from these items don't seem to ever use them. Kayle, for example, would usually go for an attackspeed/AP combo build, Jax would build a Trinity Force and a BotRK then full tank, and still be able to murder people. Poppy.. well.. is never played.

I know that I am leaving some other champs that could be considered "hybrid" off of the list, but that is because their extra scalings are usually disregarded. Katarina, for example has a decent AD scaling, but no one even touches that on her, due to her amazing AP ratios. (RIP DFG) Evelynn, who has been tossed around the world with item builds in the past season, has gone one route or another, rarely down the middle. Or some champions like Corki or Ezreal just pick up a Trinity force and go full ad, which IMO doesn't count as going hybrid.

Now, feel free to disagree with me, but I just ask to be civil, this is a discussion after all. What do you guys think? Should the hybrid items cater more to everybody, or should there be more champions to cater to? I would love to see new kits, or even tweaked ones that would greatly benefit from hybrid items.
