Can we get some context why Gangplank is getting completly gutted on PBE ?

Gangplank Powder Keg (E) Changed to only ignoring BONUS armor from TOTAL. Bonus Armor ignore % increased to 50% from 40%

That's the last nail to the coffin, he is already getting steamrolled by top lane meta champions like:

So now with this nerf you are changing his early game from weak to "walking 300g bag" and his late game from hyper carry to mediocre, not to mention that games ends up in 25-30 minutes and are super snowbally which was indirected nerf to GP as well.

He was completly fine after all these Apen and Q mana nerfs, I consider him as the most well done rework by Riot, then why you are olafing him ?

Riven, Fiora, Draven, and Tryndamere are not dominant in the top lane meta and Gangplank is one of the best top lane champions in this meta.

I'm pretty sure the nerf is meant for the pros (as are most, if not all, tweaks). Given how Gangplank was banned practically 100% of the time two months ago, it seems ("seems" doesn't necessarily mean that it definitely is) reasonable to shave off some of his damage.

Because he was played on the pre-nerf patches, now he hasn't seen much play and was very situational pick.

If he was as situational as you say he was, then why did he have a 100% pick/ban rate in Europe back in October? Every single match that I watched (mainly out of boredom because it was obvious SKT would win again) saw the pirate banned in every ban phase. Look at every single match in the playoffs, starting with quarter-finals.

Flash versus Origen, banned every game SKT versus AHQ, banned every game Fnatic versus Edward, banned every game KT versus KOO, banned every game

On to semis: SKT versus Origen, banned every game Fnatic versus KOO, banned every game

And in the finals, both SKT and KOO banned Gangplank in every single game.

Personally, almost every time I played him, I always got countered and struggled against the one gorramn champion I hate because she has zero resources to work with: Riven On top of that, I always found myself mana-screwed while she effortlessly danced around damage (with me, she's perma-banned until she's given a resource for better gating). I also have a problem with enemies given priority to destroy barrels when I clearly see Parrrley's bullet hit it first (i.e. "in case of a tie, Gangplank always loses when trying to hit the barrel").

Yeah, it sucks he's getting nerfed but understand the devs love their pro scene more than they do the rest of us. That and their prize pool ~~sucks~~ is kinda "meh" compared to VALVe's at The International in the summer.
