Warning: Flamebait Contrary to what seems to be the popular opinion, Yasuo is actually a hard champion to do well with consistently. End Flamebait

You should generally expect to get camped by the enemy jungler. Speaking as a jungle player, I love camping enemy Yasuo's for a few reasons:

  • He is squishy (since he generally needs to rush his core damage items to be useful)
  • He generally has to play aggressively to win match-ups
  • Has no escapes (unless he can retreat through a minion wave, but that usually takes him further from safety)
  • He's snowball-reliant and tends to get crushed in many match-ups (especially against fighters, tanks and some mages) once he falls behind.
  • Like some champions (i.e. Vayne, Riven), he tends to attract a certain type of player. If I camp them, they will often begin raging at their team and/or in all-chat, demoralizing the enemy team and increasing our odds to win.

I love getting a few early kills from Yasuo both to snowball myself (giving me more strength to help elsewhere) and crushing him into the dirt. Considering he lacks tools for ranged waveclear, farming or harass, he can have a difficult time recovering once he's behind.

Hue hue. Thats why i've learned to enjoy getting camped as yasuo. I'm keeping the jungler in my lane, allowing my jungler to just go postal on the other lanes, and im depriving my laner of exp when his jungler comes and fails :D

Eh, I never really camp them hard enough that I neglect other lanes.

I generally swing by for an easy kill after my first clear and maybe once after I have backed and cleared a few camps.

After that, I can generally lave that lane alone since it is won (though I won't turn down an easy kill if I see one).

Then again, you've managed to keep a 60% win rate on him after 150 games on him, so you'd probably be far harder to keep down.

Mmm. I don't know what it is, but when people camp me, my lane basically becomes a 1v2.

It might be because of the mastery icon i spam whenever they fail to gank me*[slayer-jinx-catface]*

Tbh, most people think they're acting slick when they use his E, but end up taking damage they could've avoided from minions. That's the big reason why I almost always win lane is that they aggro minions and stay in the wave instead of backing off after they poke. He's just as effective if you passive farm and poke with the whirlwind, and he farms really well so it isn't hard to get his first two items early on in the game to facestomp.

That's just me though, I don't play a ton of Yasuo, so it's not really my ballpark.

You are absolutely correct. While experienced yasuo players can use the e early on to great effect, Iv'e found that for newer yasuo players, or those struggling with him, that it is much better to just focus on using q and farming.

Passive aggressive champion.. u generally have to play safer than most champions if ur behind, and know how and where to abuse ur lead when ahead. Don't spam R everytime u get a knockup

So I looked up the 1/11 game you wrote about and noticed a few things.

First off, I personally don't like thunder lords on yasuo, that keystone tends to be hard to proc safely and since it can only be triggered 1 time every 20 secs or so, it doesn't help yasuo so much outside of very fast 1v1 fights.

I personally use fervor midlane and grasp toplane. Warlords is also a popular option on yasuo.

From what you wrote about being camped, it seems like you are playing yasuo a bit too aggressively. Now make no mistake, yasuo should be played to get kills, but it's only at certain points of the game. In general, you should be spending the first 10 mins just farming as safely as possible, and try harassing your opponent with your 3rd q.

If the lane gets pushed, just sit back and wait. As yasuo, it's much too dangerous for you to try farming far away from your tower, and you don't have mobility without a minion wave.

Edit: A gameplay video or 2 would also help

If you could send 1 more, preferably where you didn't do well, or you had questions, that'd be great

As for the gameplay you showed, here's my thoughts.

First of all, I personally don't like starting e. Sure, you can potentially get some good damage of at level 1 (which you did), but what also happens is that you push the minion wave, and cause your enemy laner to play safer than they would.

This leads to them playing very safely (near tower) and leaves the minions wave a bit past the river. This causes you to become gank bait, as yasuo is honestly easy to gank.

What I would suggest is try starting q at level 1, and then max e. Use q to just last hit minions, and let the enemy push and get cocky. Then at level 3, what you can do is charge up tornadoe, dash through the minion wave onto them, e-q, and then walk beside them and continue autoing and using q. This along with fervor generally forces a flash, or a back.

The only other thing I could see is your cs (or lack thereof). Even with a lane opponent who was afk, your cs barely hit 120 20 mins in.

What I would suggest is stay in your lane a bit more, and just darn and push. For yasuo to be effective, he needs a gold advantage over everyone in the game. And as yasuo, you can easily help your team just by hard pushing, as you can 1v2 with ease with enough experience.

Aight, round 2 XD

The first thing that hit me in the game against Annie was the amount of dashing early on. Now, it isn't a necessarily bad thing, but against mages(and especially Annie) dashing early on is something to avoid.

By dashing around, you are putting yourself in a position where they can poke you, with little to no retaliation on your part, and even when you can retaliate, you generally lost the trades.

Against mages, what I do is just focus on farming , and keeping the minion wave near my tower. Along with farming, use your tornado and keep poking Annie with it. As a Mage, her regen is low, so you can force her to back, which then allows you to push the minion wave, get an exp and gold advantage, and then back yourself.

The second main thing I want to talk about is your cs with yasuo. The thing is, I think you are pretty mechanically sound, but your playstyle leads to a cs deficiency. By playing so aggressively, it leads to you losing cs, which should honestly be your main focus as yasuo.

I can't play yasuo in lane. I don't why I just can't lane as him. I can only do well if I'm adc or jungle yas
