I thought this meme died when he was reworked. Granted, he doesn't crop up a lot, but I do see him substantially more than before his VGU.

Yorick got a vgu remember? His playrate is about 2% now which is still pretty low but much better than pre-vgu (which was like 0.9% or something). I'm afraid that the "is that the new champ" joke no longer works effectively on him anymore.

My ongoing crusade against Lux, Ashe, and Ahri skins: Riot, please stop designing skins for these three characters until other champions have had skins added to their collection. Consider anyone else please - so tired of seeing new skins for these same three characters.

To be honest, and I know what you are getting at, they are in the same boat, obviously. Certain champions, for whatever reason, seem to be darlings of Riot. While skins, in any form, are cool, it would be nice if there were more options for other champions as well. In particular, Elise and Zyra both come to mind. Urgot too.

I have to say, though, I am especially biased against Lux, Ahri, and, to a lesser extent, Ashe. All of their skins seem to come from some syrupy-sweet vat of unrefined, uber-feminine (cartoonishly feminine) concepts that, as a whole, debase the aesthetic of this game. (I am probably in a minority, but I thought the Star Guardian skins were awful). I will never like the anime style, it is not my taste, and it seems these particular champions, excluding Ashe for the most part, only exist in a world of nightmare anime rainbow-sprinkle farts.

I'm not a fan the new anime-ish skins either, but it seems like they are just allowing for an expanded fanbase. The original champ skins seem to hold true to league style which is good.

And Zyra could certainly use a new skin. I don't think two event skins (one of which is pretty cheap looking) counts for much. I'm assuming they will wait on a new Urgot skin until he is reworked.

Put yourself in the skin team's shoes. Would you rather spend all the time and effort designing a Yorick skin that won't sell all that much due to his underwhelming popularity, or a Pool Party Ahri skin with her in a skimpy bathing suit that would sell a million times over on day one?

Which scenario has the better return on investment? No, it's not fair. But when was the last time Riot treated all the champions fairly?

The Star Guardian line was especially egregious. They picked several popular female champions that didn't need the popularity boost of having a skin that would obviously sell no matter who you stuck in the miniskirt. Notice the lack of SG Sivir, SG Diana, SG Kindred, and SG Eve? It would have been a nice buff to their appeal.

You forget Jinx, who seems to be the recipient of only the highest quality of skins and actually has quite a lot if you consider how relatively new she is. She just got one of the most flashy skins, too, with more bells and whistles than Project: Ashe.

I just wanna say, Mafia Jinx is horrendous. I love the splash, and her dance is cool, but the skin itself is horrible. Her other 3 are okay. Firecracker was kind of lackluster tbh, Slayer is legacy and Star Guardian is expensive

In his Rework thread, a few of the rioters seemed very enthusiastic with the fan art for "Crazy Cat Lady Yorick" and I mentioned they should consider it for 2017 April Fools skins and got the reply "We can see what happens...."

Would have to check pretty far for the comments in question but yeah Yorick good now show him some love Rito <3

Full blown rework cuz he looked like garbage and played essentially like a gimmick.

I mean fine, he's not fuckin' Lee Sin levels of popular. But if they had time to make 2 high quality lux skins basically back-to-back, they have the resources to dedicate to not completely ignoring a champion who has literally only had 2 skins (not counting classic), ever.

Considering they're both very high quality skins, receiving an Ultimate Skin so soon after another high quality skin, especially considering she has several skins already, is a bit ridiculous.

Yorick got a full update and no skin to go with it, which is appalling considering he still only has the skins he released with, and we're seeing plenty of new content.

I understand skins are a part of Riot's revenue stream but this level of neglect for a champion is a bit extreme.

Well cuz Lux always got dah skins while some champs (especially Shen, Urgot and Yorick) hadn't got one in a really long time and it's boring af when u main them

Um, Star Gaurdian Lux came out like May or June of 2015. They just touch up the skin to keep it in line with the newest SG skins. So what the fuck are you talking about "back to back"?

Can I just say that Sion got a Legendary skin, and Poppy got a high quality skin, both of which came long after their relaunches? And Taric got a simple skin soon after his.

Don't expect another skin for Yorick for quite some time (unless that Crazy Cat Lady idea comes to fruition). I'd say, either a simple skin in either January or February, or a high quality skin around late spring, early summer (or possibly even later due to the number of models he has).

Riot has shown us that any champ that gets relaunched will get a new skin at some point. The new Yorick has been out for just around 2 months now. Give them a break, and be paitient. It will come eventually.

If you want a champ to complain about getting a skin, look towards Cass or Zyra, both of which haven't gotten a skin in probably the same amount of time.

Yorick has literally not gotten a skin since his release in 2011

Cass got Mythic in 2012, and Jade Fang in 2013.

Zyra wasn't even released until 2012, and received Haunted Zyra in 2013, and SKT Zyra in 2014.

That's a pretty big difference.
