Syndra: Fun Champ, but Good Pick?

I remember playing Syndra a while back (still S5) and she was pretty fun. My question is though, is she a good pick? I know her strengths aren't particularly teamfights, but is she still an effective champion otherwise? I also hear that her E (knockback/stun) is buggy, although I've never experienced these bugs before. Is this true? I suppose I'm trying to justify purchasing her. I remember she was hella fun and had a really cool kit, but I don't want my teammates moaning at me when I pick her. I do really want this champion, but I don't want to waste hard-earned IP on her if she won't be as effective as other midlaners in my champion pool. Thanks :)

She's quite decent if you're exceptional with her but you really do need to have a level of skill with her to get results. I've personally done very well with her as a whole but I'd consider that pretty flukey on my part. Champion.gg shows that she has among the steepest learning curves in the game, but at the peak of it she performs rather strongly.

I used to main her but then they nerfed her and then bugged her. Not sure if she's still bugged but her stuns sometime go backwards or don't even stun at all. She's fun and I carried myself plat last season with her.
