Can Kassadin get some love

i just want Kassadin to receive some small buffs or something because his like in that zone where quinn is where he has a lot of cool ideas that don't mesh perfectly together or other champs can do it way better, his suppose to be an anti-mage mage but viegar does that way better, his e is basically a weaker version of sydra's scatter the weak, and you have to wait for two condition to use it "6 abilities and cooldown" i would love if that changed to 4 instead tbh, and morgana has such better spell shield my favorite type of champions are ap melee champion like elise dianna and eke and each of them have ways to deal with being in melee range whether it be CC or shields and stuff but kassidin spell shield last to short, i not even sure if it blocks CC like morgannas, and his escape after going in which i guess is his way to deal with is a little awkward as it leaves enough time for a full counter trade, (which is fair, wouldn't want a urf kassadin) but still it feels like his trade early game are just not worth it at all and do you wind up spamming q at the other person until you get a jungle gank and with all the bold buffs lately giving defined strength and weakness would love to see kassadins strengths be more defined ( as in why should i pick him over another AP mid laner)
