@Repertoir what is Riot's definition of what a "balance nightmare" is

Spideraxe··1 votes·266 views

I feel this phrase has devolved into just a buzzword used by the community whenever a champion has received multiple balance changes in consecutive patches and people don't really fully understand the context behind it and has been used to just simply describe a champion they dislike playing. So I wanted to hear from you, what exactly do you guys think would qualify for a champ to be difficult to balance

Disclaimer: I do not make any claims of knowing what is or isn't the correct terminology, so some people maybe or may not be right

Zoe People hate her Q, but if her Q isn't good at instantly killing squishy targets, there's no point to playing her as an AP mage at all That was a poor design choice that should never have been implemented

what people hate and what they don't hate does not matter in balance

balance nightmare is mainly used (from what I've seen at least) for champions who are always either brokenly powerful or brokenly useless even with the smallest of buffs or nerfs. They are never in between or just slightly weak/strong. The champions that always seem to be at the extremes of the balance scales no matter what it's done to them
