i'm going to guess their ability-stealing power is related to the chains somehow, seeing as everyone in the teaser is chained up before their ult gets used

What if... those chains are petricite and anti magic? Will that mean that the champion will have the ability to absorb enemy ultimates and use them against their own casters? Afterall that's what Demacia is known for - no magic.

Looks like Lux and her magical heresy, Sion (Or maybe Jarvin IV?) killing Jarvin III, Galio about to chew some butts, and Garen dropping the JUSTIIIICE.

The chains? Those most likely hint towards the Kayle/Morgana reworks. All the gold makes me think Kayle, yet if you've seen the skin you'd know that Morgana was also golden in design before her full corruption. Besides that, chains. Morgana's ultimate. [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Overall, those images bring to mind the idea that Demacian champions in general are all chained by some event or task or the burdens they bare. Lux being a magician. Garen's sense of justice (which I believe is based on his previous failure), the loss of Jarvin's father, and Galio's role as an anti-magic construct.

It's possible but unlikely that these images are entirely lore-friendly though, and could hint towards some new lore regarding Kayle and Morgana's involvement with Demacia's recent past--that is, if this is a rework promo. Unlikely though because remember, Jhin's promotion involved him sniping four champions to remove/apply adversity to make them complete-ly perfect. (Sona's throat, Vi's arms, Garen's heart, Zed's eyes)

Now that our mysterious chained champion is making an appearance, now seems like a good time to remind you that Shyvana is likely connected to him as well. Here's a quote directed at her from the short story "The Winged Beast."

Wait...So a king dies. In one image it looks pretty masculine on the throne and on the balcony its pretty clearly female . Or these are visions from Lux, Garen and Jarvan ¿. Since the female looks like Lux the other Garen and Jarvans weapon..

I'm thinking whoever he latches his chains on, they're most likely stunned and he can cast their ult or maybe even force them to cast their own ult to damage their teammates? Little bit of inconsistency with Lux's laser being fired from someplace else, but Galio using his own ult to rise and descend.

I just hope these are current time events not something from 290484032 years ago..
