@ZenonTheStoic what happen with the WW rework?

Today we celebrate an exactly one year of the "new kit" of Warwick has posted by ZenonTheStoic, IMO a ver nice kit with more interactive playstyle, much better than the actual, finally some way to gank in pre-6, counter gaming for his cancerous ult, not more coward wolf (With this I want to refer when ww figth againts you put your life under 50% and run away thanks to the huge mov spd buff), a really need shield that reduce the damage when ww are auto-supressed, also a very important fact its: a more clearly identity "Draining tank". And the fantaastic oprtunuty to make "cool" plays with the boomerang move (His new tenative active E).

All this time I wait for news about this rewok, specially when WW received the quadra nerf on the 4.21 "Destroy the Wolf" patch, probably one of the most recently HARD OVERNERF champs, I mean:

All this in the same patch, why so much hate for only one champ, I know he deserve some nerf but not all these at the same time...

So after that HUUUUGEE OVERNERF, I really think that the Warwick rework is ready to show up, I mean after that why I want to use a practically useless champ but has been past 4 months and we don't have news about Warwick rework because the actual state its very poorly.

And yes its "practically useless" a completly overnerf champ that have a main role in the jungle but sadly he can't gank before he reach the lvl 6, I know sounds ironic but its true, but thats its not enough the list its more large:

  • don't have any AoE damage in his kit

  • his W AoE buff have lot of hidden power that its completly nocive for the game (40% of the time nerfed in the 4.21 destroy the wolf patch)

  • his mana values are too high in comparision with his poorly mana pool (750 of max mana and 110 mana cost by one simple Q holyyy sh.... saadly its true)

  • his ult don't have any counter-play if he see you and you are in his range, he "magycally" appear on you and destroy you without any chance of respond if you are alone, the problem its not being destroying by him, the problem its how the hell I can avoid him?

  • his ult its a double-edge sword bad design move, if you catch someone else alone: worth, if he its with any other and have a hard cc: bye ww.

  • his E its a very situational ability that only active its someone near are weak, so yep sometimes can stay "off" by a loooong time.

  • he can't gank before he reach the lvl 6 (that its so ironic... yeah I know that I say this before but pls he is THE jungler)

  • Its a Hunter but most of the times he run away cowardly, I really hate that WW uses his massive movement speed to run away, He is suppposed to be the hunter not the prey

And the best that he can do (duel and shreding tanks) received a very massive nerf on the 4.21 "Destroy the Wolf patch" and sadly another items affected by this... Poorly Devourer enhanced :(

Actually he really need to past a huge amount of time stacking devourer to stay revelant in the game, his actual kit have numerous problems and put Warwick on that "bad spot" champs. So now its a very good chance to put the Warwick rework on, he really need to stay in a healthy side, and the ZenonTheStoic rework kit its a good solution for this because much of the core problems have been solved and more important received a very good "playmaking" move like the "Boomerang Wolf". so please ZenonTheStoic put this rework alive again and give us the new Warwick because the actual is a joke, a vagabound wolf dyng slowy in the misery...

It was badly designed, made him a mage instead of what he is supposed to be and buffed literally everything about him.

His W nerf let WW in a very bad state only gaining 1.63 during the total of the 6 seconds...

Warwick's base attack speed is .679 attacks per second

With no W: 6 seconds x .679 attacks/second = 4.07 attacks

With W activated (+40% attack speed): 6 seconds x 1.4 x .679 attacks/second = 5.70 attacks

difference = 5.70 - 4.07= 1.63 auto-attacks gained if the target stands still (and Warwick isn't stunned or AS slowed) for the full 6 seconds.

Sadly, while it may seem that attack speed items would improve W, they do not-- attack speed % buffs are additive, and W is an attack speed % buff, not a change in Warwick's base attack speed. Here's an example:

With no W but 40% in attack speed buffs from runes/items/levels: 6 x 1.4 x .679 = 5.70

With W activated and the 40% attack speed buffs (total 80%): 6 x 1.8 x .679 = 7.33

Difference = 7.33 - 5.70 = 1.63 attacks gained

Riot, now that Warwick has been nerfed into obscurity, could you consider giving him something back, his rework its veru urgent...

General

More base mana More base mana regen

Eternal Thirst

REVISED INNATE: Warwick's basic attacks deal 2% of the target's maximum health as bonus magic damage, restore 5 (+0.9-1.8% bonus health) health and grant Warwick one stack of Eternal Thirst. Stacking up to 10 times, each stack of Eternal Thirst increasing the healing of this effect by 11% for a maximum of 10.5 (+1.89-3.78% bonus health). Healing is halved against minions. Eternal Thirst stacks decay at a rate of 1 every 0.25 seconds if Warwick has not damaged an enemy in the last 1.8 seconds.

Hungering Strikes

REVISED ACTIVE: Warwick slashes the target enemy twice, for a total of 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 / 200 (+ 60% AP) magic damage. Each slash applies on-hit effects. The healing from Eternal Thirst is increased by 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100% for the two slashes, stacking additively with Eternal Thirst stacks.

Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 seconds Cost: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 mana Range: Technically reduced, but it now functions like a basic attack (edge-to-edge, instead of center-to-center).

Howl

NEW ACTIVE: Warwick unleashes a howl that deals 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 60% AP) magic damage and terrifies surrounding enemies, causing them to turn and flee from the point-of-cast for 0.75 seconds. Damaged enemies are also slowed for X / X / X / X / X seconds.

Cooldown: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds Cost: 50 mana

Hamstring

NEW PASSIVE - BLOOD SCENT: Warwick gains sight of nearby enemy champions and large monsters with less than 50% health (range is lower for neutral monsters). While moving toward an enemy revealed by Blood Scent, Warwick gains X% bonus movement speed. This bonus is increased as the target's health gets lower, based on the nearest applicable enemy. Enemies are made aware that Warwick can see them when he comes within a fixed range.

Similar to Orianna's ball and Soraka passive, Warwick will have an indicator that points to the nearest low-health enemy.

NEW ACTIVE: Warwick dashes toward the target location and then returns to the point of cast, dealing 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 (+ 30% A P) magic damage to enemies hit in both directions and slowing them by 95% for 0.25 seconds. The damage and slow can be applied twice, for a maximum of 140 / 160 / 180 / 200 / 220 (+ 60% AP) magic damage. Hamstring can be interrupted by movement-inhibiting crowd control effects. Warwick can activate Howl, Items/Summoner Spells (excluding Flash and Teleport) and interact with Dark Passage during Hamstring.

Cooldown: 16 seconds Cost: 50 mana

Finite Duress

REVISED ACTIVE: Warwick charges forward, stopping only when he collides with an enemy champion. The unfortunate enemy is stunned for 2.5 seconds while Warwick slashes them 4 / 5 / 6 times, dealing a total of 180 / 240 / 300 (+ 90% AP) magic damage, while Warwick gains 20% damage reduction and 30% of life steal. Each slash will trigger on-hit effects. The cooldown of Infinite Duress is reduced if Warwick successfully hits an enemy.

Base Cooldown: 130 / 115 / 100 seconds Cost: 100 mana

WW needs a emergency rework his kit is bad and unbalanced at the moment, He is a jungler but he no have a gank pre 6, a tan without no AoE dmg, Mana hunger, his W have a lot of hidden power, can use his E to run away (a skill create to chase not to run away), Ult have no counterplay if he reach a isolate enemy, but he is very reliable on his ult, also his ult make his vulberable because supress him and not reduce the dmg incoming, make him a easily target on tf, and the list goes on with devourer, challenging smite nerfs...

I'm Warwick main all the season 4 (Feral flare time) and he have a huge power, maybe so OP but now after the 4.21 patch he are overnerf, Devourer and challneging smite too, so its time to fix. He its only viable on low elos, or good to smurf bronze accounts IMO.

Has a insane sustain and is very good duelist but his weakness are more than his strenght, in low elo WW its a powerful GOD, but in high elo is a thrash, He really need a rework too fix his core problems and toxic kit.

For me He needs this to stay healthy:

  • -Remove W on his kit, replace with a skill that allow him gank pre 6.

  • -Make his E works only towards enemies (like Vayne passive, Soraka Janna)

  • -Add more interactive gameplay on his E (passive and active part instead a toogle)

  • -Turn him R into a skillshot like Sejuanis Q, Gragas E or Malphite R to add counterplay, and add A CD penalty if he uses his R to escape to minimizes his escapes chances.

  • -Give him a damage reduction when he supress an enemy to reduce the vulnerability.

  • -Fix his mana cost and mana pool.

So he needs a rework to stay in a healthy state, his problems are very evidents right now.

Rework when?

I have a 61% win rate in plat IV pretty much on warwick exclusively.. So i'm not sure why you believe he's weak. I don't have any problem with him.

Have you tried the new BORK? It rips tanks apart and gives warwick ridiculous sustain. Are you controlling objectives right? (Level 3 solo dragon, 20 minute baron?) Are you coming out of the jungle pre-6? Are you building him right?

They said he needs a new model along with the kit changes so it will be a long while before we see that.
