Right now titanic hydra seems to synergize too well with sated
I've been thinking about how a specific group of devourer junglers would be affected by the new hydra. These are people with built in AS in thier kit as well as defensive tools. I am talking about jax, warwick, xin and too a lesser extent rengar.
Now let's look at what's wrong with titanic hydra. First it gives a very nice defensive stat 400 health. Note that it builds off of giant's belt so the pbe tool tip is out of wack. Compare it to warmog that is only 400 less. While that makes a difference it's well compensated by the dps increase. For example let's consider how the active is a auto attack reset. These champions are predicated on getting out on hit affects. AA resets are huge for burst because they have a small window to cc usually .75-1.5 secs. The active also has better range and late game scaling compared to normal hydra if the hp stat wasn't already a deal breaker. In some situation where you have a orianna it's quite superior considering you might proc the aoe passive 3-4 times. The last passive is basically a AD verison of wit's end passive late game and synergize with sated devourer plus AA reset.
Let look a hypothetical situation: Jax is the greatest beneficiary of this new item on the list. Let's say he builds bruiser Sated devourer Titanic hydra botrk Berserker greaves omen banshee
So at max level he has 3k hp and 200ish in resistances with ult that's reasonably tanky. Now let's say he does a E-Flash-Q-E combo on the enemy adc also max level. How much would we do in raw damage before resistances? Assuming you build passive buffs on the initiator beforehand.
So in that 1 second we have around 2 attacks, 2 additional attack from his W and hydra active. On hit affects will proc 6 times thanks to sated.
AA dmg= 800+ Ult passive= 440 Sated on hit= 360 Hydra passive= 300 Botrk passive= 900ish Hydra active= 300 botrk active=200 W+E+Q= 650+
Total= 3950 dmg (first second)
Titanic hydra contributes 875 dmg(50 AD on AA, AD ratio on abilities, on hit passive and active) + AA reset giving sated passive a second time giving a total of 2 more on hit procs then is seen on live. That is 860 dmg(AA, ult passive, botrk 2 procs). Overall about 43% of the dmg from that 1 item.
So now jax gets 2 do almost double the damage he usually does in the first second. In exchange for what 400 less hp. Xin and warwick don't do as much burst but they aren't that far behind either
