....autofill gives me gray hair.

if i knew how to get the text from in-game and even pre-game chat i would but i cant so if riot looks at this it would be nice if they gave the receipts to me (totally think i spelled that word wrong).

ok so i get autofilled....ya know...cause its such a great addition to the game and not at all totally controversial and stressful to deal with. i get support. and this is how the chat goes me: i dont support. im bad. need to switch me: i dont do bot lane. anything else would top: would you like to switch top lane? me: that would be greatly appreciated

we get to picking phase. now this is a crucial part in the story so lets keep in mind I PICK BEFORE TOP DOES AND WE'VE ALREADY AGREED WE WERE SWITCHING LANES. the jg witnessed this only one who admitted to seeing this when we spawn in game

me: do you want ap or ad guys? Me: guys? no response

i lock in gnar along with tp and flash typical top things. i start looking at something on youtube while they finish locking in. i come back. the person who had switched lanes with me (top) had locked in jayce...with tp...and flash.... we get in game and i think, more like hope, that he is still gonna go through with our agreement...no i walk to lane and here come jayce following me. Jayce: this gnar... Me: you asked me if i wanted to switch top and i said yes.. ? diana: lol this did happen. moments later diana: someone grow some nutz and go bot

me the person who did get support albeit i was only following an agreement made before the game, went bot. obvi it diddnt go very well cuz gnar is a horrible support i didnt take any cdr runes to spam q with and i didnt want to start aa-ing the minions cuz we would push toward the enemy tower and i would more than likely cause my adc to lose cs due to the disproportionate amount of health and timing an adc is used too. jayce more or less wins lane against xin, idk how but that's his justification toward the problem. even tho he never spoke another word to me about it after the one time he did speak. after that yas became his lawyer whle i was left defenseless becuz diana afk'd after bot lost lane which was to be expected and while jayce, even while getting the enemy tower fed xin.

by this time my grandmother which is nobodies fault, comes to me and asks if i cant drive her somewhere. relunctantly (becuz i dont want to leave a game when we can just surrender at twenty becuz it's already handicapped and then i dont get penalized for dc-ing) i say "let me finish this thing. it should be done very soon" . and if it had...ended soon i might not be up here complaining about it. but it didnt. becuz yas and the rest of my team thought we could win. becuz jayce was gettting fed becuz the enemy team was just throwing themselves at him. im stuck in this game for THIRTY FIVE FREAKING MINS. SLOWLY.....AT AN EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW PACE BECUZ OF THIS BRONZE ASS FUCKING TEAM. WANTS TO TROLL ME AND WASTE MY TIME. AFTER I TELL THEM I HAVE THINGS TO DO AND THAT WE NEED TO SURRENDER BECUZ WE'RE ALREADY MISSING A TEAMMATE....AND IM PRACTICALLY USELESS BECUZ **RIOT WANTS TO TRY AND MAKE ME GO SUPPORT AND WHEN I TRY TO GET OUT OF IT AND TRY AND SERVE MY TEAM THE BEST WAY I KNOW HOW. I really don't care that you were losing or that you were getting blamed. If you aren't ready to play a game out don't queue up, if your team is flaming you just mute them. If you really had to leave for your grandma then just do it shit happens, you get leaverbuster'd for leaving games. Trolling however can get you more severe punishments.

none of this would be a problem if autofill wasnt even implemented in the first place. i am ready to play a game. just not support. you've looked at my summoner page look at the rest of my match history. does any of that look like im this trolling dumbass who just ints? no cuz i play to win. but if it's clear that's not gonna happen no matter how hard i try then dont waste my time. idc if you think we can win. just take the l and get urself in a game with a full team and one that doesnt have a person that got filled into a role that

  1. they hate
  2. theyre not even good at
  3. picked a champ thinking they were getting another role that which isnt good in support setting.

Dodge then, no one makes you play the autofill game. Autofill is far from perfect, but it is needed for ranked at least. I wish riot would refine it quicker, but there is nothing I can do about that so I play out games I get support, I dodge ones I get adc.

autofill is needed for flex. not ranked. autofill was never needed up until now. becuz of all the great decisions riot has made. if you read anything OTHER than the title you'd see me explain. i picked...before top did.... and we already discussed that we were trading lanes..... so i picked gnar thinking that agreement was still intact. i did not pick gnar before top picked jayce. i did not pick gnar to troll anyone.. i did not pick gnar knowing he was going to pick jayce he had no champ pref'd on the screen. his champ icon was empty up until the time he locked in jayce

but becuz i got autofilled im automatically wrong for trying to make the best out of a bad situation and then trying to end an already losing game.

I read the entire post my man, autofill has been used since the new champ select from a year ago resulted in stupid high queue times. The only change recently is turning it "always on", may I remind you that before last year it was pick order? A completely random system that relied on working with your teammates.

I understand the Jayce may have intended to switch and did not, you still

  • alt tabbed champ select so you didn't see what was going on until too late

  • didn't ask what was going on in game before buying and leaving base

  • built troll items and proceeded to 'help' your team lose

You aren't wrong because of autofill, you are wrong for trying to play the victim when you did just as much wrong as Jayce (if not more). If the Jayce tricked you then he deserves some sort of karma, but he isn't here is he? You are and you openly admitted you didn't try to smooth things over for the game and instead exasperated the whole situation.

i told them we needed to surrender. the game was a loss. did you want me to start farming after laning phase. i only bought that stuff twenty mins in after they trolled and rejected the surrender anyway? KNOWING it was a loss. ten minutes after diana was afk? after the enemy team got all of our front towers and atleas two of our inner turrets? after i get blamed for picking a champ i thought was gonna go top?

and income item was not gonna changes my kits. it wouldve just changed how i got gold... simple. we stilll got squashed.

They didn't agree with you and regardless of how important you think you are at least 2 other people thought you had a chance (or just didn't like you because I am sure you were typing to them throughout the game). There is no excuse for choosing to troll so stop looking for one, sometimes shit doesn't go the way you want learn to get over it and act like an adult for the 35 mins this game took.

At 20 minutes not having a gold income item is usually a 1k gold deficit.

The drama with Jayce could happen at any time in any mode, regardless of Autofill. Grandma needing you to do something and your team not surrendering could happen any time, regardless of Autofill.

The biggest problem I see is that you didn't even try to make Support Gnar work.

  • You didn't buy a gold item
  • You didn't buy a sightstone
  • You didn't get a sweeping lens
  • You never bought a control ward
  • You wasted money buying a Rylais when Frozen Mallet would have been more helpful
  • You bought a Needlessly Large Rod because...?

I've got some sympathy for people who are thrown onto an uncomfortable champion or role and struggle. I've got no sympathy for people who won't try to make it work.

i bought all the starting items before the team made me go bot after they agreed i was going top in champ select. i already left the shop before jayce trolled me. and no none of this wouldve happend if autofill wasnt a thing. why? becuz i would either get top or jg or mid. and i would be doing what i usually do. and i did honestly try to make gnar (including all the things i bought...before i got trolled to work too) gnar cant get mega sitting around not farming. i already explained the best way i knew how to make gnar SUPPORT with no exhaust or even heal to work for my team. and i didnt by any of those ap items in laning phase. this happend after diana left and the enemy team had five towers.

becuz none of this wouldve been possible cause i wouldnt have had to bargain for a role im better at and wouldnt have left myself open to get trolled had i not gotten auto-filled

i wouldve been put into either my primary or secondary role that i picked (picking a role is basically useless now anyway). but i didnt becuz i got auto-filled. if it wasnt a thing. i wouldve ended up with a bloke who actually wanted support. and i wouldve gotten someone who wanted mid, and someone who wanted bot, and someone who wanted jg.

the only problem with draft is the queue times and do you think i value shorter queue times over being able to play what role i want? no

blind pick doesnt have autofil. yes blind pick was flawed... a lot which is why they made draft. which let you pick which role you wanted. and ppl start complaining cuz the queue times were too long. so becuz theres problem somewhere else in league that makes this one less justified?

ex. i got shot in the stomach but i shouldnt care cuz i cuoldve gotten shot in the head.. i

The problem you described occurs in every queue. Have you never been forced into a role you don't want because of pick order or draft? Even in team builder, people still stole other people's roles. It isn't even worse than blind pick, as you claim, because you have a better chance at getting your preferred roles.

Remind me one last time how this is a problem exclusive to autofill.

the story i told you had a main theme leading to the end. it was that NONE OF THIS WOULDVE BEEN POSSIBLE IF AUTOFILL WASNT A THING.

YES i could get trolled by any one person by any means at all. but it wouldnt have been in the manner with the result as i've described if i hadnt gotten the roles i queue'd for.

ur missing the whole point. yes i was angry i got trolled. yes i trolled some myself. no jayce is not here complaining about this. why should he? he got what he wanted. he didnt get put inot a situation that didnt benefit him or his team. but this story wouldnt exist. had autofill not been implemented in the first place. like i've said before.

i'll give you an example becuz this is the best way i know how and in my opinion the best way i think to make you understand.

ex. ppl get shot....all the time.... (ppl get trolled all the time) the president of the united states (althought this might actually happen knowing our current president.) is not forcing you to stare down the barrel

riot on the other hand is trolling you by making you play something you had no intention on playing. and also arnet even good at.

had that not done this. i could not have gotten in the situation i was put in. yes i couldve been trolled by anyone at anytime without autofill. but i wouldnt be up here if that were the case. i would simply blame that ONE person. and not riot. but that isnt the case and that's my point.

You honestly expect me to believe that the item 1036 you bought 5 minutes in couldn't have been a item 3302 (or item 3303) ? That your item 3133 at 13 minutes couldn't have been a item 2049 ? That you couldn't have swapped item 3340 for item 3341 ? That item 3116 couldn't have been literally any other item?!?

You never "tried" to play Support Gnar. You have a pass on Summoner Spells and first items bought, you have a pass on Masteries and Runes, but you have no excuse for what you did after that.

gnar cant get mega sitting around not farming.

He can get Mega by harassing enemies (thus the item 3303 option, gives you gold for doing so). One auto attack against a champion counts the same as 8 auto attacks against minions (or more, depends on level). You expect me to believe you couldn't land one auto attack or boomerang on a champion, or be attacked by the enemy champions, once every 13 seconds?

How is what you did "the best way you knew" when you didn't get a single Support Item? Have you never even looked at what supports on your team build?

item 3302 would have given your ADC healing when you killed CS with a charge, as well as giving you a reason to be attacking CS and charging your rage bar.

You literally were sabotaging yourself and your team. Regardless of who started it, you continued it by not even thinking while buying and by buying troll items in the end. I have no sympathy for that.

Support Miss Fortune has less CC and shields than you, and it was used at Worlds.

You could have farmed if you'd picked up item 3302 . I pin that one squarely on your shoulders.

Support Items are known as "support items" because they give the most bang for your buck in that role.

item 3401 , the fully upgraded version of item 3302 , gives the same amount of CDR as item 3133 . It also gives a shield that you can place on allies, as well as letting you earn more gold because you're able to CS while you have charges up and you share the gold with the nearest ally (aka: 1 minion kill counts as 2 minion kills for the team). The total cost is 2200, so it's twice as expensive as the hammer, but each piece lets you get more gold.

Even if you don't know off the top of your head what support item gives you CDR, you can use the All Items part of the shop and check the "CDR" box to quickly find them.

item 2049 frees up your trinket slot for item 3341 (and the upgraded item 3364 ). This means you can deny vision from the enemy team, which lets you take Dragons or Barons safer, as well as letting you set up death-bushes where you know the enemy doesn't have vision.

Knowing that when you're support you buy either item 3303 item 3301 or item 3302 as a starting item and you get a item 2049 item 3341 is on par to knowing you startitem 1039 or item 1041 and upgrade into item 3706 item 3715 or item 3711 when you Jungle. It doesn't matter if you never Jungle or Support, you know that's what you do.

If you're struggling with that there's a good chance there are other basics of the game you're ignorant of, and you should probably play a few more normal games for a while to figure things out.

lol yea i guess. and i probably wouldve thought about it. usually when i jg my jg item is usually right infront of me. but i didnt take exhaust or heal and even if i did the support items wouldnt have been there. i know how the support items regarding warding works. but again i dont support so i dont know the full extent of the support items. but ur right i couldve just looked at them. forgot theres a whole section dedicated to them on cuz i dont support so i wouldnt even look that way. and i play with item sets so everything i need for my champions are right in front of me. never crossed my mind to look in the other section of the shop. habit of mind cuz again.... i dont support. but thanks arguing the most irrelevant point of my problem. ur still hung up on a build. rather than why i would need to do that when i main top, mid, and jg. my bad.

damn and the upgraded support item gives you more gold? that'll raise gnars rage bar... for a second after the passive is used up im back to square one unless i just spam q on minions and throw off the adc. it's not like the enemy team was standing behind minions which is what any sensible person wouldve done with a gnar as their enemy support. let me walk into my aa range even though i get out ranged by most adc's and the malz support and i'll get killed cuz im squish becuz they out range me in the all the way thar matter. which actually happend cuz i tried atking them to get mega gnar.

none of this wouldve helped me in my situation. but ur still hung up on it. sorry i dont know how to support. didnt expect i'd have to. i usually try to negotiate with my team to switch with me so we can go through with champ select and play a game. but if that doesnt happen i just dodge cuz i'd rather play something im good at than feed with soemthing im not good at.

but my main point is....NONE OF THIS WOULD BE A PROBLEM IF I DIDNT HAVE TO SUPPORT ANYWAY. BUT YOU WANT TO ARGUE ABOUT SOME TRIVIAL SHIT AS WHAT I BUILT WHEN I DID HAVE TO SUPPORT. The thing with the Targon's line of support items is you only get the Execute on minions when you're Melee. Since Mini Gnar is ranged you could attack the minion over and over again to build up your bar before you kill it.

If I'm being honest, Support is more fun than Top most of the time.

In Top you're playing a 1v1 or split pushing most of the game, and when you do join the team you're usually the punching bag just trying to get close enough to do anything. If you want to play a 1v1 game then there are better games for that, and if you want to take objectives without enemies there there are better games for that as well.

With Support you're setting up plays and denying the enemy all game long. That direct interaction with multiple enemies, fighting over objectives, getting as many people out alive as you can is a lot better than what goes on top. It's doing more with less.

i appreciate ur opinion. that's amazing. im sooooooo glad u feel that way. i didnt even think about that. yes i dont understand some of the basics of support items. and if i did. which it's coming back to me now cuz there was discusion about that item and how thresh didnt count as ranged. and bla bla bla. didnt think about that cuz was put in the situation that i was. and im not, i'll say developed enough to forget about the problem and just play support. i cant get over the fact that i have to play support when i dont want to in the first place. it's not fun for me. and while im glad you like playing support, i dont. and i shoudnt have to play it. i like the one v one of laning phase with the exception of ganks. i hate bot lane. and when you get behind ur not behind usually by one kill but by two. and it's so polarized and one sided. all of that combined with being forced to play it. being trollled. not knowing what to build on a gnar improvised, and forced support. i get player's block and i hesitate and i mess up and im just disoriented and angry. and my point is... if autofill didnt exist all of this wouldnt be a factor in my gaming experiece. atleast not in this way. trolling is a thing even if auotfill wasnt. i understand that. my thing is. dont add gas to the fire. dont troll me when i can get trolled anyway. dont put me in the situation in the first place. but ur hung up on the irrelevant shit.

i can help bot lane while cover top with tp (if bot lane plays it right). i can maybe roam mid and help them. top lane i dont have another person depending on my services to play at the laning phase lvl. im better by myself in laning phase. i dont like playing support i dont know how many time i've said this already today. in this post. with ppl who think cuz i trolled at thirty mins in that my problem that many other ppl have about draft at the moment isnt justified. im using this story as another example of why autofill is a problem. or to ease ur mind since you are gonna keep arguing that this jayce couldve done the same thing to me if auotfil wasnt a thing (wrong cuz we wouldve even have been ont he same team). auotfill is adding to the problem then. and it needs to go away. riot im sorry that you made a role that isnt fun to play in the opinion of the majority of ur player base. and even if it was. they shouldnt have to play the role they dont want to play at that time. you could have alleviated that problem by telling them if they're upset about queue times then just press fill but you might not get the role you want. but instead you shoved it down everones throat even the ones that had no problem with draft.

if ppl dont play support than make support more fun. but i digress from ur comment again. so i'll say this again. im glad u like playing support. i wish there were more pppl like you. but im not one of them and i shouldnt have to play this role if i dont want to.

I made a post about this too, but nothing happened. Riot can realize this is a shitty system and so they disabled it after you've previously been autofilled or if you're in promos. But the fact that they brought this into low ELO is insane. And even more insane is the fact that it's in NORMALS. I agree. Remove this piece of garbage system.

You just got trolled by the Jayce which would happen regardless of auto fill.

As far as your point about auto fill not being necessary - it definitely is last season queue times were unacceptable (and that at least didn't split the population into flex and solo queue) and before that we simply didn't have role selection which actually led to more trolling.

The only way to remove auto fill is to even out the population. All 5 roles should be requested evenly; but fact of the matter you've got less than 5% queuing for support.
