MUST READ - ADC (Kaisa)
So...You want to main
.
First, let me start off by saying, despite
is currently(9.19) one of the strongest adcs in the meta, it still doesn't indicate the champion takes absolutely no skills to play. So if you inspire to become a better
player, this is the guide for you.
Let's start with the basics, Runes Builds
For Runes, I recommend 2 paths
Path No.1
Precision Tree:
Press The Attack(After three attacks, it builds up damage for a combo+passive, giving easy trades)
Triumph(Health and Gold reset)
Legend: Bloodline(Lifesteal for more sustaining in lane, compensating for not taking FleetFootwork)
Coup de Grace(Collaborates with your passive&PTA)
Inspiration Tree:
Magical Footware(Save the $ for
and faster speed for better late game)
Biscuit Delivery(More sustain in lane for both health and mana)
Path No.2
Precision Tree:
FleetFootwork(Matchup against adcs/supps with strong pokes and greater mobility or if your support deals a great amount of damage)
Triumph
Legend: Bloodline or Legend:Alacrity (Bloodline if you really need the sustain or Alacrity for the extra DPS)
Coup de Grace(Always the better option for an execution with passive)
Inspiration Tree:
Magical Footware
Biscuit Delivery
Now a little trickier, the builds
I sorted the general builds into two categories AD & AP
AD
I see a lot of pros starting of with
, this is obviously a great choice because it supplies
with the early game mana expense and the damage while only costing 2400. It makes
stronger in her early game and able to handle her laning better. This is a great build but I recommend in Diamond or lower, it's also viable to start with a
due to it's' absolute dominance in lane once you've recieved an early game lead. It also advances the lvl.9 Q upgrade and fastens the E upgrade by a considerable amount of time in comparison to
. Overall I would recommend
if you have a good lead (And preferrably with Fleet Footwork to contrast the slow given from the item)
Overall the AD build should look something like this
Obviously the GA being interchangeable depending on their AP/AD, which you can build an earlier
or
AP
This is more common right now as it's easier to come back from being behind and also easier to shred down tankier objects in a shorter amount of time, despite sacrificing the feelings of kiting and the satisfying distributed DPS from AD build. But for the AP build, I recommend stick to
because the build itself is very costly and to bring forth your Q&E upgrades ASAP you would want a cheaper first item.
So a full build would look something like this
As always you can always fit items such as
into these builds depending on the matchup, but I would always recommend go agressive
Now to the core part, Gameplay
's gameplay had always been controversial because alot of people likes to play her in the backline, safe and do an insane amount of DPS in the back then finish it up with your mobility from E and R.
Here's the catch, think about this. What if the enemy team had a fed
or
or
? You would be caught, most likely, in a very bad position since you're in the back. Especially if your support/team isn't aware of this, you will be picked out by a good assasin player in no time and die quickly(Obviously
and
would help but good assasins can always make you
or
to put your team in a 4v5 for a short position and receive better trades)
Therefore it's always crucial to understand the capabilities of your champion.
is a very strong champion in the late game phase as she shreds tanks and squishies. Similar to
if you were to think about her playstyle -- More Risks = Better Rewards. Concluding from this you would have to play
as aggressive as a
would be on your team, while managing to sidestep, dodge, bait, and execute. Which these mechanics would obviously be a great challenge to people who are unfamiliar to the game.
Normally
's powerspike comes around 2 items(For some players its better at 3 items because E upgrade) Therefore you must take advantage of this and pull as many team fights as possible.
Remember in a teamfight, as
you don't want to blindly ult into a team fight and waste one of your only life saving abilities and get shredded by their burst or chained by their CC. What you would want to do, idealy, is to have your team initiate, tank, and always remember to position yourself in a safe spot right at the edge of your auto and Q range and take advantage of your Q's passive to deal maximum damage by isolating the target. Effectively using your E is also a big part to your gameplay because of it's ability to pull distance and also supply attack speed to kite / chase targets.
For example if your team has a
, a very strong frontline teamcomp. What you would want to do is to abuse the passive you get from your allies when they cast CC spells and shred one or two targets (Enemy frontlines) to apply maximum trade advantage for your team. Something I see alot of
players not doing is when the team fight gets turned around, if you're ahead, Always always look for a pick on their backline, if they have champions like
who's squishy and isolated because they're always in the back. You would want to ult in and possibly get a fast elimination on them and then have your team win frontline vs frontline with enemies without their ADC. Therefore having your team close by and able to react is also very important.
There's alot more details to
to be explained and I sincerely welcome the community to check out by Channel twitch.tv/KaisenT for coaching or just a fun time. Thanks
