Tips to Climbing out of EloHell

League of Legends (The Beginning) September 23, 2019 Hey guys I'm a high elo Kaisa OTP wannabe(xd) I'm going to start to share some of my own personal ideas on how some of my gameplay/strats might help climbing for the ones out there struggling, I hope this helps and enjoy League of Legends Iron IV - Gold I Overview Personally, I've dealt with a lot of players in Lower Elo, struggling about climbing out of bronze and they don't understand what seems to be the biggest issue of all.**** Maybe you've seen a lot of High Elo players recommending you to /mute all or stop the tilt; But for me, that didn't work quite well as I pursued faster and more rewarding techniques. So down below heres my summary for the essentials to climb in Lower Elo. All Builds are recommended to be following OP.GG(website op.gg) Champion Pool I see a lot of pro players recommending a large champion pool in Lower Elo. But from experience with my friends, I've figured out that maybe sticking to whatever is in the meta isn't the best for everyone(Not that I don't recommend it) Obviously it's always a nice thing to test out the meta and become a so-called "Meta Slave" thus earning LP. But you have to understand not every champion is for everyone. Find the champion you're good at, practice and practice until you're able to fully carry your lane/the jungle. It's inevitable to have a lane or two losing occasionally due to bad teammates but remember to just mute them and remember that as long as you're doing your part of the job, you can climb easily. (Statistically proven that as long as you're winning your lane often, your win rate will be around 56-57% which is sufficient to climb out of the rank you're in.) As of this patch(9.19) here's a pool of champions I recommend to start maining and abusing Top - Kled , Darius , Jungle - Khazix, XinZhao , Malphite , Amumu Mid - Fizz ,Zed , Ahri , Veigar ADC - Kaisa , Vayne , Ashe Support - Thresh , Pyke , Nautilus , Leona

Map Awareness Looking at maps - I understand farming, trying to aim for solo kills and paying attention to a map at the very corner of your screen is quite infuriating and hard to accomplish. Therefore here's what I do to help. I started playing jungle a lot because while doing the camps I can start to understand and learn the basics of laning, jungling, and the potentials of your champion's capabilities. Not to mention taking an NPC character in the jungle gives you an abundance of time to check out the minimap, or to use F1-F6 to check on your teammates Do I Lock my camera, or not, or both? - Personally, I set my spacebar to replace my 1 in my items slot, so I can't constantly move my camera back to where my champion is. But through playing for a long time I kinda got used to of not looking at my champion at all times because I have the gist of about where my character is at without looking at it 24/7. You should practice farming without vision of your own character and pulling your camera at the perfect position to grant you vision of where the enemy jungler might come from or towards an ally/enemy. Therefore improving your skills. (Further lessons on vision control and map awareness is commonly found on Youtube and guides from Proguides.com are pretty good)

I can't win lane / I can't win games while winning lane I can't win lane - If you can't win lane, understand it's normal as everyone's skills fluctuate depending on their mood, the time of day, and their reaction times varies from time to time anyways. Just focus on farming correctly and trading well with the enemy (If you're not winning lane, try to understand the matchup if you can/cannot win the lane before you give out First Blood and just play by farming and try to scale) I can't win games - If you're suffering because you can't win lane & win games, then you can try to practice combos or watch videos of other pro players playing your personal champion. I find this very helpful as you learn more combos and play styles of your champion to deal with in different situations, and also its a great learning tool to get better at games. Stick to farming out and scaling as league of legends isn't at all dependent only on KDA. On the other hand, if you're suffering from losing the game while winning your lane. The most common feedback I get is --- yes, you guessed it, tilt. What you want to do, (not saying you have to) is to mute all, or the people inting/being annoying, then focus on your lane and winning and carrying. Understand, the people who are flaming are always inferior and they suck at the game; Carrying this mentality helps you. Also, something crucial is understanding to let your teammates carry. If your toplane is fed, mid is fed, then as a jungler you would want to keep staying in these two lanes, get them ahead, but supply vision to bot lane to make sure they're not being camped by the enemy as their other two lanes are suffering the L. Having a balanced team without any heavy losing lanes will almost guarantee you out of elo hell. Believe in your skills, you're the better player on your team Something I see commonly in the lower end of the ranks was players being very confident in their plays, therefore hesitating. You've probably seen pro players calculating and predicting the times precisely therefore making insane plays, or maybe you've made one or two accidental plays that resulted in something you expected hence believing hesitation isn't a big issue. Similarly to your daily life, hesitation requires experience and knowledge of the game. For a game like League Of Legends, the control over time is crucial. Especially when the management of delays can lead to a glorious team fight thus winning the game. In my words, theres a huge difference between "Delay" and "Hesitation". First of all, making a mistake in your play isn't something worth yelling at yourself at, nor will the teammates curse at you for making a mistake(unless its crucial to the game) Making numerous mistakes will ultimately resulting in better decision making in your plays thus carrying your matches.

About winning lanes, in a "normal" LoL game, your team, will lose 1 lane, win a lane, and the last lane should be 50-50 in theory, this is obviously affected by skill, champions, ganks, minion dif, etc. The amount of people who believe that losing a lane is reportable is frustrating. Losing lane is a part of the game.
