Loss after promos

Why do you lose so much LP after losing promos? To go from 100 down to 65 is exhausting.

Could someone explain the numbers / algorithm of the LP gain/loss?

Winning = gain Lp Loosing = Lose Lp

(duh)

Getting to 100 = promos Win promos = promotion Fail promos = Loss from match losses(I have heard) Lots of losses at 0Lp = demote

Lp gain/loss is based on a mysterious invisible figure called MMR, which is what actually matters over Lp.
