Quick Feedback On Upcoming Ranked Changes

I missed the original posting of the Ranked Changes on Nexus since I've been so busy with my senior year in high school, so I thought I'd leave some quick thoughts here.

Thoughts on Placement Names: Iron is technically higher quality than Bronze; that's why the Bronze Age preceded the Iron Age in history. Maybe leave Bronze as the bottom and put Iron between it and Silver? Bronze is more valuable because its components are rarer, but for weapons and whatnot its actually worse than Iron. Its more logical in my mind at least, probably too late to change it anyways though.

Position Rank: I'm very glad you talked about considering making changes in the future for players who have broad mastery of the game in Ranked. I've never been a huge fan of sticking to one role; I derive far more enjoyment from changing it up frequently, and have ever since I started the game 6 years ago. As long as its a consideration for the future, I'm happy.

(To anyone who is mystified by my interest in this subject since I'm a lowly Bronze 5, Ranked isn't something I actively participate in. I've never had as much fun with it, but I think I could based on some of the changes they are going to make. I certainly want to be able to prove that I am indeed better than my friends who care so much about rank think I am. Earning rewards would be nice too XD)

Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this!

As you said, Bronze is more valuable than Iron.

It isn't about durability because gold is not a respectively durable metal either.

The rarity, and luster of the substance dictates the value.

Iron is dull Bronze is shiny

Logical

Also, I genuinely agree with you about the position ranking. I have wanted Riot to do this for years for the same reasons you mentioned. I think it will really help to encourage players to improve their skills in positions that they would otherwise never play. For example, it is a common thought that auto-fill is pretty much a guaranteed support placement because it is not common for players to want to play support, so they don't queue up for it. If someone has invested all of their time in improving their skills and climbing in a carry position, and they get auto-filled as a support at a level well beyond their experience in that role, .. of course they are going to have a tough time.

If instead, someone has climbed in a different position, they can still queue up as a support and be placed in a match that is better represented by their skills in that role.
