Pretty much this. He has killer life steal and can hit quick, but its just too easy to avoid his dive, and he is easy to burst.

idk his life steal is ridiculous tbh and he does good damage, my guess is is that he just seems op since we don't see him often and forget about his damage and have no idea how to counter him

Olaf does his job a million times better, and a few other jobs as well. Such as killing the ADC in a teamfight and actually surviving. And getting to the ADC without them being seriously out of position or hopping over a wall. And instead of having an ability which literally screams 'cc me', he has an ability which stops people from CC'ing him. His poke is better, his DPS is better, and Fervor and Warlords synergy is better, his burst is slightly worse, he is much tankier, his sustain is almost as good.

Then Olaf would be considered strong and Aatrox regular? Since without his ult, Olaf can't really do anything without being kited to death. Meanwhile, Aatrox has some mobility and a pretty long range odd skillshot.

No, because Olaf is balanced around 'regular', so thus Aatrox ends up being weak.

Olaf can engage almost as well as Aatrox because Aatrox's engage is telegraphed and his slow is unreliable. Aatrox is also a lot less scary, because he does a lot less damage.

They should remove DD from his Rec too btw.

Let's get back to the point - Olaf can engage with an axe, run at you, and slow you with it again, and stick to you. Aatrox can Q onto you, E slow at point black range and get a bit of damage off, but unless he hits his Q knock up he will be flat out outdamaged. And even then - against something like an Olaf, he'll still be outdps'd and has no dissengage (neither does Olaf but whatever - Olaf doesn't have to commit as hard.)

Aatrox's ult and passive don't even add up to Olaf's W, which is 120% iirc. His ult is really only good for the extra burst and dps.

Olaf Q > Aatrox E in almost every way besides Aatrox's E having an ok ap scaling and doing magic damage.

because Aatrox is a champion who gets fed and wrecks your team or falls behind and remains useless because of shit scaling

only he doesn't get fed because he has no damage and if his passive pops before he kills you with level 2 cheese he's a guaranteed first blood, and if he dies that early then he's useless for the remainder of the match because, like I said, he has shit scaling

It breaks my heart to say it , but one of the main reason he's considered weak is that he's a drain tank depending on his autos and extremely dependant of health costs . When you do your Q+E combo , you automatically loose 15% of your current HP and you need to regain it by autoing , and good luck with that in todays meta where almost everyone can back off right after you use your full combo .

His other problem is his extreme squishyness . His base stats can be compared to some ADC's base stats , and even then , there are ADC who are more tanky than him until Aatrox buys some defensive item .

He's punished for building tank , he's punished for building glass cannon .

As Aatrox , you hate to get CC'ed and bursted down without having a possibilty to hit someone . But a lot more than any other champ in the game .

Aatrox is heavily snowball dependant . It's feast or famine but really fucking hardcore mode . If you manage to get some early kills for you , it doesn't matter , they will catch you and kill you without any care in the world .

This is why i stop maining Aatrox until his buffs in January/February , if i should believe some Rioter who told it or until his update during the divers class update .
