So if a guy just does his placement games and gets placed in gold, and then never plays ranked but loses a lot of normal games. Enough to get him to a bronze MMR will he get matched against bronze players in ranked too?
Serevas2 votesNo, Ranked and Normal MMR is completely seperate. I have an MMR in normals of 1100+, but because of my minimal ranked play my ranked MMR is only 950 or something like that.
It's also why you can sometimes get stuck against Diamond players in Normals if they've played too few normals to develop any proper MMR.
